I couple of years ago, I used to watch Perry Stone's television show "Manna-Fest".......

I believe that the man is sincere in what he is doing and honestly believes that he is doing the work of the Lord...

There were times, however, when I could not help but feel that some of his teachings and some of the things he said kind of put him on the "fringe," so to speak.

Here is a link to his official website for those of you who may not know who I am talking about........

http://www.voe.org/

Some of still may not know who I am talking about even after you visit the website and see a photo of Perry Stone......

I know I was terribly wrong for doing so, but sometimes I used to watch Perry just for the "laugh value" of some of the "out there" things he would talk about.

I finally stopped watching Perry Stone when he began to teach that if people started having their own personal, "at-home" communion every day it would somehow heal whatever physical ailments they were suffering from.

He even started offering viewers of his show a sort of "mini-communion kit" that they could obtain for a "love gift" of $150. It came with a little mini-decanter for the wine, two tiny shotglasses, and a little pouch to hold the bread.

I think he used to refer to the kit with the catchy name: "The Meal That Heals"......

Has anybody else here ever watched (or even ever heard of) Perry Stone??...............

a mini communion kit ?.............send in your $150 bucks , not sold in any stores, you can only get it through this special TV offer, and please remember supplies are limited so order now ! one kit per household please

2Pe 2:3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

God forbid that it should happen........hoping that perry will repent first, but if he should stand and give account to God..............You tried to profit by selling a "kit" of passover (communion) which I commanded be done only once a year, not everyday and to be in rememberance of my Son............do you recall the story of my Son and the money changers in the temple court ?

ELL-OH-ELL.

I've heard of this guy, but only through my mother-in-law. She believes a lot of unorthodox and bizarre theological ideas so naturally she comes across people like Stone.

I have to fight everything in me to not make any sardonic comments when she asks if we have listened to him (she asks us every time we're around, as if we're avid students of his or something).

I have found there have been thousands of Perry Stones throughout the generations, each bending and twisting the scriptures to make this day and time fit the prophetic passages, each new charismatic leader is somehow the coming antichrist, and they sell their (So called) god given insights and revelations for a hefty sum, I don't think you will see a true prophet of God on the television, until they show the two dead witnesses lying in the street for three days

I went to see him in Jacksonville, Florida, with my wife and a couple of dear friends from our church a few of months ago. We really enjoyed his teachings, but I must admit that I don't agree with everything he believes and teaches, but he has made it abundantly clear that he does. I believe he sincerely believes what he teaches, whether it is all correct is another matter entirely, but I don't believe he is trying to intentionally deceive anyone.

Just for information: Perry Stone says he is a third generation preacher, so that may explain some of his style. He is a pentecostal, I think. He believes in a pre-trib rapture. I also think he believes the Antichrist will be the Muslim Mahdi.

I listen occasionally. imo, some of what he says is insightful, and some is speculative. A new Christian, or someone who is not familiar with end times study, might have a hard time distinguishing between the two as they listen to him.

Regarding the communion kit that others mentioned, I have not seen that promotion. Personally, I don't like such religious gimmicks to raise ministry support funds.

That may be true, in a sense, but I would not go so far as to accuse him of being a false teacher. The rapture is a profound mystery, and since he is trying to find clues that are hidden in the word, many will not agree with the things he brings up about it, but that in no way disqualifies him.

For instance, he believes in a pre-trib rapture. I do not subscribe to that view, so I disagree in this area. But not to a point where I will sit in the seat of judgment, as an accuser. I don't believe pre-tribbers are false teachers. I used to be one myself, no harm, no foul.

I don't believe any view of the rapture has been proven to be correct yet, and that's why it's called a mystery. If you believe the man is a false teachers, go ahead and state your case and present your evidence. I'm all ears.

when people see the Shriners hospital for children, most quickly think what a great thing these masons are doing, on the surface many institutions and ministries have a facade that in all frontal appearence seems to be good, but if you were to dig in deep, you would find a dark hideous reason and plan behind these things. In the future most if not all Christians will believe Jesus comes before the antichrist, thus millions of unread Christians will be led to follow this false messiah, at first glance this doctrine appears not a salvation issue, in the future it will prove itself to be one of satans best designs, it will be at the heart of the great falling away.

True

There is a difference between reading and understanding. Those that understand will be looking for the Messiah before he comes. They will be watching for the bridegroom as they have been instructed. This will occur before the antichrist is revealed.

I know Perry and his family personally. They are wonderful and sincere people. He teaches from the heart. I also do not agree with everything he says, but I would never acuse him of being a false teacher. I have known him since I was a child and heard him preach many times. He does a crazy amount of reasearch and travels to Israel regularly. He has many Rabbi friends who he talks to in order to understand their perspective on things. I respect him as a man of God and I pray that God will give him wisdom in all he does in Jesus' name. I have also read his book, "Unleashing the Beast". That is where he talks about the similarities between Judaism, Chrisianity, and Islam and their close-knit beliefs of the end-times. I recommend it to anyone.

did he make you pay full price or did you get the good neighbor discount.....I never said he wasn't sincere, but If someone teaches something biblically incorrect what do you call them? "an incorrect teacher"?....thats why its important to make sure what you teach is exactly what the bible teaches, and plainly states, don't go beyond what is written was I think Apostle Pauls advice.
