  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The Anabaptist Community:
A forum for all Anabaptists to discuss and fellowship together. Modern day Anabaptists include the Amish, Mennonites, and Hutterites. Strongly influenced by the Anabaptists are the Quakers and Bretheren.

A few things to know about Anabaptists:
  • We believe that faith in Christ should be a living faith, confirmed in the fruits of Spirit.
  • We believe in Believer's Baptism. The condition for baptism is to be a follower of Christ.
  • The Bible is the supreme authority in our lives. We believe that the Bible shows us that members of the Church are to be pacifists, non-resistant to the evil man as commanded by Christ.
  • We believe in the separation of Church and state. The Church should respect the Laws of the State as long as it doesn't contradict with the Law of Christ, but not be a political institution having any political power in the State or support from the State.
  • Some Anabaptists practice foot-washing and shunning.

To learn more about what we believe please see Anabaptist.

Homosexuality and Same Sex Marriage:

Homosexuality and same sex marriage may be discussed in this forum, however, no promotion of these topics is allowed. Promotion is defined as encouragement of the progress, growth, or acceptance of something including advertising and publicity.

House Rules:
All posts within this faith community must adhere to the site wide rules found here (Community Rules). In addition, if you are not a member of this faith group, you may not debate issues or teach against it's theology. You may post in fellowship. Active promotion of views contrary to the established teachings of this group will be considered off topic. Fellowship posts can also include statements that are in alignment with beliefs of the given denomination, even by non-members. They cannot include debate or non-beliefs.
