Amazon Fraud and Customer Service

Last month I ordered almost 200 dollars worth of tools and Kalimba Parts from Amazon and when they emailed me they were shipping three shipments to an address five mails away I called Customer Service after checking and seeing my account had been hacked and my address changed.

I was informed that my shipment was in transit and nothing could be done until the three deliveries were completed. (So they cannot contact their own drivers to stop theft?)

I´m 80 year old widower Combat Veteran and my daughter went into the Disturbed Position! The next email had a photo of one of my packages sitting on someone elses pourch and my daughter called Customer Service and was informed that nothing could be done until the packages were missing for 48 hours.

My daughter was livid and demanded to speak to a Supervisor. After perhaps 10 minutes of excuses she was handed over to the new Amazon Fraud Department. Over the next three weeks I received a really nasty email promising to terminate my account if this happened one more time. Of course I had already changed my password and chose 2 Step Verification and they did not bother to check that. I feel that the snotty reply insinuated that I was a thief from the sentence structuring.

After almost a month, I believe, I was instructed to call my bank because my card had been frauded and my only recourse was to contact my bank. The bank said Amazon Customer Service does not deal squarely with them and my money would not, likely, be recovered. If you deal with Amazon and you loose a shipment because some punk hacked your account, I feel for you.

Satan is collectivizing the whole world. As a result, we often have to deal with collectives who feel that us puny humans are just irritants. Since they see us as powerless, they often think they can do whatever they want. However, there are some way to leverage power.

1. Publicity. You can communicate with them that adverse publicity such as with newspapers or TV might cost them more than fixing their problem.
2. Political.. A letter from a Congressman or Senator can gain their interest.
3. Legal. Finding a third year law student who would be interested in working for free, you might be able to alarm them enough to make restitution.
4. Police. You might see if you can flie a complaint about The company as an accessory to theft since they knowingly delivered to a wrong address.

In reality there is little a big company will do to make things right. I have found ebay to be easier to deal with that Amazon., but it is still a big company.

From my personal experience this is absolutely not true. I live in a small town, so 90% of my shopping has been done online for at least the last 15 years, and I've never had a bad experience with an online retailer, no matter what their size. On the rare occasion when problems do occur they've always been more than helpful and accommodating in setting things right. Even in going beyond what I would expect.

Helpful Tip: People are people, so when calling customer service, be nice. They'll always begin by telling you their name... remember it. And if you don't catch it, ask them to repeat it, and then don't be afraid to use it. A little kindness goes a long way. Nowadays most customer claims are automated, but from my experience they tend to be settled promptly and in the customers favor.

The point is, even if it's a big corporation, whenever you're given the chance... BE NICE. And if something doesn't go exactly the way that you want it to... get over it, it's just stuff.
