Peace in Christ.

Satan has been and is warring against those who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Rev 12:17 KJV
(17) And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

We are currently at “war”…..but we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

It is the Truth of the real Jesus Christ vs falsehoods of the decoys (“another jesus” the antichrist) as preached by Satan’s ministers and against the “powers” of the church handwritings of the ordinances of the church scribes (which are highly exalted in their churches) which bring those who have been deceived by them into the bondage of serving the sin by which the eternal life of Jesus is being prevented from being made manifest in their mortal flesh.

The wages of the sin is the death….death to the moral body.

Eph 6:11-13 KJV
(11) Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
(12) For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
(13) Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

In Matthew 26:53, Jesus spoke of the Father that can give Him more than 12 legions of “angels”….that is, messengers … ready to “fight” those who come following in the footsteps of Judas who come to take the real Jesus (the manifestation of His eternal life) out of the lives from those they are deceiving with the “kiss” of their flattering lips.

He shall presently give (that is, to stand beside) Him 12 legions.

Mat 26:52-54 KJV
(52) Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.
(53) Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?
(54) But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?

This number would be forward-looking to the 144,000 army who stand beside the Lamb in Revelation 14:1 and who will assist as “soldiers” in the war with Satan and his “angels”…messengers….ministers who are preaching via the antichrist spirit their false Christs and their false teachings.

12 legions of messengers/angels 12 x 1,000 legions x 12 tribes = 144,000

I don’t think that the number is literal but instead signifies completeness in that “army” of who will first have believed in the Word of Truth when they will hear it and are redeemed among men…being the “firstfruits” . We are not there yet….but it may be coming soon.

They come in the Father's name....His authority....and not the authority of the first beast...."another jesus"... as the false prophet does.

Rev 14:1-3 KJV
(1) And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their forehead
s.

The 12 legions of messengers will REJOICE (the voice of harpers harping with their harps) in their hearts (the “harp”) when they will hear the voice of the Lord from Heaven speaking as He speaks the words of the biblical eyewitnesses (the “many waters” of their voices as interpreted by His voice) in the Word of Truth.

(2) And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:

The voice of a great thunder: God’s name shall be glorified in this world when the judgment of this world shall commence after the sealing of the 144,000 messengers who will be sent forth to speak His Word of Truth...the gospel of truth.

Joh 12:28-31 KJV
(28) Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.

In John, some people who heard the voice from Heaven said that it had “thundered” while others said an angel/messenger spoke to Him. We find both these things in Revelation 14 as both these things are linked.

(29) The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him.
(30) Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.

Now is the judgment of this world. Now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

(31) Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

Indeed, we see this in Revelation 14 as the angel or messenger that flies in the midst of Heaven says with a loud voice: Fear God and GIVE GLORY to Him for the hour of His judgment is come…..

Rev 14:6-7 KJV
(6) And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

Giving glory to God is the theme that permeates the book of Revelation.

We are to give glory to God and not be found instead giving glory to man and his church handwritings (the “image”) when we hear the Word of Truth….the new song.

(7) Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

The Son of man comes with the “angels”….His words and those who are sent to speak His words… in His glory and in His Father’s. In other words, we are to be found glorifying God and not man at the hearing of His words when He comes in judgment of the world.

Luke 9:26 KJV
(26) For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.

In the mouth of the 144,000 messengers is found no guile….that is, NO DECOY (Greek: dolos). There will be no preaching of “another jesus” found in their mouth as they will preach the words of the true Jesus the Christ.

Rev 14:5 KJV
(5) And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.

It is interesting to note that in Greek mythology “Dolos” is the spirit/breath of trickery.

From Wikipedia:

Dolos became known for his skill when he attempted to make a fraudulent copy statue of Aletheia (Veritas), in order to trick people into thinking they were seeing the real statue.

“Aletheia” means “truth” or “disclosure”.

It is fitting here that the false prophets are preaching a “decoy”…a dolos…of the real Jesus who is the Truth. It is a fraudulent copy of the Truth in order to trick people into thinking that they are hearing the truth of the gospel when they are really hearing "another gospel".

When we hear the “new song”, we are to give glory unto God and not be found bowing down to the man’s preaching of “another jesus” (the beast) and their church handwritings (the “image of the beast”) .....giving glory to man' s church institutions. "Before the throne" = at the judgment of the world.

Rev 14:3 KJV
(3) And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.

When we hear the “music”…the new song of the gospel of the truth....being sang by those who speak with no decoy/guile in their mouths but instead speak the words of the true Jesus…we are not then to “fall down and worship” man’s handwritings of church ordinances that are highly exalted in the churches of men. We must not be found defending man’s handwritings that are “set up” and highly exalted in every church when we hear the Word of Truth.
.
Dan 3:4-6 KJV
(4) Then an herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages,
(5) That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up:

Whoever will not worship the “image” of the beast will suffer persecution at the mouths of those who will be full of wrath at the hearing of the Word of Truth and will seek to defend their “image”. Their mouths will be like a “burning fiery furnace” as they will speak/flame us with evil words spoken in their intense wrath. But we are to keep the sacrifice of the Lamb in the face of their evil words….not returning evil for their evil.

(6) And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.

The “fire” of their persecutions will not hurt us if we follow after the Son of God….keeping the “daily” sacrifice of the Lamb.

Dan 3:23-25 KJV
(23) And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
(24) Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.
(25) He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

Indeed, this what the 144,000 messengers do. They follow the Lamb wheresoever He goes.

They will not be “hurt” of by the fiery persecutions of unbelievers as they will keep His sacrifice by not returning evil for the evil that will be given in response to the hearing of the Word of Truth as the unbelievers will seek to defend their church teachings in their wrath upon us.

Revelation 14
(4) These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb

They do not defile themselves with “women”…that is, with strange church doctrines…. that are being preached by the flattering tongues of “pastors” who “seduce” the people that are being led astray by them into keeping their doctrines. They will preach the true doctrine of Christ and not foreign teachings that do not come from the Lord.

Be not carried about with many strange doctrines….strange “women”…that are being preached by those who seek to “seduce” us with their words of emptiness. Think how Solomon was led astray by his many foreign wives so that he worshipped their "gods" and did not fully follow after the true God.

Heb 13:8-9 KJV
(8) Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
(9) Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.

They want us to follow their teachings of a false Christ….and lead us away from the Way that leads to eternal life to be had in this life.

1Jn 2:25-26 KJV
(25) And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.
(26) These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.

They flatter us with their lips as they preach many strange doctrines rather than the doctrine of Christ and they lead us down to our mortal death with them.

Pro 5:3-5 KJV
(3) For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil:

(4) But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a twoedged sword.
(5) Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell.

Mat 26:52-54 KJV

The number 12 in the case of Matt 26 and its context is about the disciples. Christ is saying that instead of just 12 disciples to defend Him - He could easily have 12 legions --- not of men -- but of angels. It is a contrast that Christ is drawing as He is being arrested.. He is letting his disciples know that He is allowing himself to be taken - deliberately -- and not because He does not have enough of an army at the moment to protect Him, as if He was caught off guard or unaware.
