Yes, in America we DO have freedom of religion.
No, in America, good science does not change, because of freedom of religion.

Unfortunately, the Christian groups in America who reject the goodness of the
intellect, and as a whole, modern science, have still to find out that there are
REAL RAMIFICATIONS for making this choice to eject the intellect.

The measles outbreak in West Texas is heavily among Mennonites, and it is
unvaccinated children (mostly) who are getting very sick.

"The full scale of the measles outbreak in West Texas isn’t captured by official reports.

Edwards did a quick tally of the number of cases he’s seen at the warehouse in Seminole: approximately 188 in the last week. That estimate is based on symptoms alone, without confirmatory testing. It’s unclear how much overlap there is between his estimates and the official Texas numbers."

"
“The longer it goes on, the more likely we are to have people travel from one community to another and start an outbreak in another area,” she said."

"Measles is one of the most contagious viruses on the planet. Viral particles can hang in the air for up to two hours and infect unvaccinated, vulnerable people. Large indoor gatherings are ripe for superspreader events.

Edwards said he wasn’t concerned about patients congregating in his Gaines County clinic because “they were all sick with measles.”

A nearby health food store called Health 2 U is also a gathering place for members of the community. Cod liver oil is given out, sometimes for free, thanks to donations."
---------- ----------

Giving away cod liver oil, to treat the symptoms of measles, is like
trying to use cod liver oil to cure leprosy.

Unfortunately, anti-intellectual Christians may not recognize the disastrous
way theiy are living, until they have destroyed their own lives.

Different methods work better than expected.
The ones making money hand over fist thru regular official channels are protected too much and their profits are more often the reason for their measures/protocols than effectiveness - so much so they try to censor all true information.

cod liver oil to cure leprosy.

Cod Liver Oil for Leprosy

There is no scientific evidence to support the use of cod liver oil as a cure for leprosy. Cod liver oil is known for its benefits in heart health, reducing inflammation, and improving bone health, but it has not been proven effective for treating leprosy or Hansen's disease.5
Historically, various remedies have been used to treat leprosy, including the application of chaulmoogra oil, which was prescribed in ancient Indian texts and later used in medical practice.3 However, modern treatments for leprosy typically involve a combination of antibiotics to kill the bacteria that cause the disease.3
If you or someone you know has leprosy, it is important to consult a healthcare professional for appropriate medical treatment.3

The current rubella vaccine is, in fact, an effective vaccine, but it is contraindicated for those of us who are/were already born with a mild form of autism [a.k.a. ASD1]. (That was not an issue with the pre-1979 rubella vaccine...)

Anti-Intellectualism lies in not understanding functional medicine as we can see in the USA with chronic disease. I also think the vaccine is worth taking because it's time-tested.
There is no scientific evidence to support the use of cod liver oil as a cure for leprosy.
Castor oil has benefits. But "science" has long said that fats and eggs are bad for you (low-fat diet), and functional medicine is finding the opposite. The FDA is moving at a snail's pace to provide warnings hopefully, this will change under RFK.

Yes, people should get vaccinated against things measles.

and before you get on your high horse

people on the left should start believing in things like biological sex and stop their kiddie castration campaign (among many other nonsensical things they have been pushing in recent decades)

"following the science" means exactly that

I understand some of your gripes here, but I'm not convinced that intellectualism is a synonym for the actual work of Critical Thinking. Being an intellectual doesn't guarantee that a person is on the right side, or the most accurate side, of any given issue.

Science doesn't have the last word, although there are many political pundits who would aver, or even insist that it should and does. I would beg to differ.

On my part, I'm also going to affirm the Pauline value of spiritual discernment, which obviously not all of us have developed, especially not among non-Christians. This has become obvious in the wake of the current political pandemonium.

I know.

It's a literary device, using an example that has no scientific evidence, behind it.

A lot of people here in Germany who adopt lunatic positions on vaccination are quite well educated. Wisdom and discernment make the best use of knowledge, though, as you imply.

Mindlight...

Unfortunately, a lot of very educated people, do not accept a disciplined methodology
for studying technical questions outside of their career field.

Unfortunately, in America in the K12 school system, you do not have the basic
philosophical questions addressed (such as in the fields of epistemology,
moral theory, formal logic, ...), and so you can get PhDs in technical areas,
who cannot put together coherent discussions on what our shared reality is,
how we perceive it, how to prove that a personal opinion of ours is actually TRUE, etc.

Controlled medical studies using Mill's Methods, should solve the question for
highly educated people. Or, the rigorous application of the concept of logical
causality from formal logic.

Fortunately, those parents who were responsiblle, and got their kids vaccinated,
will not be burdened with kids who develop serious complications from measles.

Unfortunately, unvaccinated kids (and adults) will be a pool of live measles virus,
which continues to spread all over America.

Measles was a very contagious and dangerous disease, that was announced as
eradicated in America, in 2000, because of the use of the efficient vaccine.

Well lets look at some good ol' hard data!

US life expectancy back in 1860! Before all these fancy vaccines! People got plenty of fresh food, sunshine, fresh air and exercise! I bet life expectancy was great then! It was ...ummm.. 40... hmm.. well maybe that is a glitch. Lets go forward a bit.

1955! Now we are talking! The golden age! The greatest generation back from the war. The US taking off and life expectancy is... 69. Well that's some better.

We go all the way up to 79 at 2020.

Well huh. Maybe there is something good to this new-fangled medicine and doctoring stuff after all?!

Or they fudged/finagled the life expectancy? It was 80 or higher, perhaps, but they wanted to make more money selling toxic substances to put into babies and older people, so they re-wrote history. Why? For money. Period.

ai or not ai, that is not the question?

"Does measles get better on its own?

AI Overview
Yes, measles typically runs its course and

most people recover without specific medical treatment, focusing on managing symptoms and preventing complications.

Here's a more detailed explanation:
  • Measles is a viral infection, not bacterial,
meaning antibiotics won't help. The virus has to run its course.

  • Treatment focuses on symptom relief:
    Rest, fluids, and over-the-counter ..."

  • "AI Overview
Natural immunity to measles, after recovering from the disease, is considered to be lifelong, meaning individuals are highly unlikely to contract measles again.

    Here's a more detailed explanation:
    • Lifelong Immunity:
Once you've had measles and recovered, your body develops a strong immunity to the virus, making it extremely unlikely that you'll get it again.

    • Pre-Vaccine Era:
Before the measles vaccine was widely available,
    • most people contracted measles during childhood,
    • leading to widespread immunity within populations.

You are saying "they" have been cooking the books on life expectancy for over 100 years?

"They", referring to society, kings, mayors, soldiers, manufacturers, educators, religious icons or teachers or leaders or any such, and so on and so forth ..... why not ? It is virtually no secret any more. It has been foretold thousands of years ago, and exposed thousands of times in just the last ten to a hundred years.
There's been no reason to not cook the books, and trillions of reasons (dollars , power, control) to do so, and it already was being done world wide anyway, as it is human nature, of the flesh, carnal.
