Hi I am Hannah I am from Russia. I have been a Christian for 1 year but I was not serious about it until a month ago. My family are basically all atheists since over 100 years ago and so it is mostly new to me and I am learning so much. On YouTube I have been watching lots of videos to learn and also I have been to church sometimes but often my parents do not always allow me to attend because they think other family things are more important and it is confusing to me on how to fight them on this. I think that is the theme of my life it is confusion. I hope this site can help me with all of my questions, as well as attending church every week and learning from there.

My side quest is to also learn English. I always have spoken it since I was little but religious topics are not something I ever learned in English so that is fun to learn. And it also helps me understand complicated theology to learn it in Russian as well as English. I think it is good reinforcement.

My other interests are tennis, horse riding, veganism, poetry, art and music. I play violin but truthfully do not enjoy it, but I love listening to all sorts of music.

It is so good to see you here, and how brilliant is that you learned a second language while so young!

To "fight" them, as a Christian, would be to love them Hannah. That is how we "fight the good fight" by loving others with the kind of unstoppable love that Lord Jesus has shown us.

This is not always easy if people are being unloving to us, and being love to others can be challenging, but it will always be worth it.

John 13:34
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.

Make sure to ask Lord Jesus to help you with things, since we get what we ask for, and if we don't ask we don't receive.

Matthew 7:7
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

He is always with you and will help us with anything and everything if we ask.

You can find Dr David Jeremiah on youtube for a good guide on Christianity. He is an excellent teacher.

After the downfall of the C. Party of the Soviet Union, the Russian Orthodox Church experienced a tremendous revival. I hope that the Russian Orthodox Church and the Greek Orthodox Church can seek more friendship and consensus. There is a hidden military alliance between Russia and China now，but there are few folk friendships. There are a small number of Eastern Orthodox Christians in Northeast China, but their influence on China is minimal. Many Chinese Christians are pro American and know very little about the Russian Orthodox Church. I hope that apart from politics and military, broad Christians in Russia and China can seek friendship in Christ.
