What? BOTH of them should have walked away. The articles says "The incident occurred on Saturday as the women, aged 40 and 60, were preparing to board a flight bound for Austin, Texas.

That applies to ANYONE of any persuasion. Clearly it is not intended in a limited way. ANYONE wearing ANYTHING (not just hats, if we are going to be nitpicky about it) you don't like? Be an adult and walk away. Period.

Adults do not engage others to argue about what other people are wearing. What kind of crazy world is this?

When people are beating drums about fascism and Hitler and that sort of rhetoric...it's only natural that the consumers of such rhetoric get rather passionate about defending their position. Blaming the people getting riled up is like blaming people for bolting towards an exit while people are screaming "FIRE!"

People are making a lot of guesses about what actually went down. The article doesnt say. We can just spin up whatever scenario suits our motives I guess.

Yeah, that "Hitler" nonsense needs to stop now. It has already led to two assassination attempts.

All name calling needs to stop entirely, but utilizing the *Hitler fallacy has gone too far.

It seems to me you're focusing on a semantic issue and ignoring the poster's clarification of their position. What they said may be construed as blaming the one offended over the hat, but they didn't actually say anything about the events that took place. Simply that fighting over the fact that someone is wearing apparrel for a political candidate(and likely any other divisive attire like sportswear) is childish. Whether the person wearing the article threw the first punch or the offended party isn't material to what that poster said, it's something you're reading into the post.
