Well carbon is being pressed down, but the oceans do not have the effect of what is called sparkling water in English. If some were put in a glass, it would have the behavior of “still water”, hence it is flat

I was reading something about that. While trying to find empirical data that the Earth is flat, I came across a website saying this "flat earth" phenomenon is a new thing. Conspiracy theories on social media have spread it and people are believing it.
I agree that they are trying to decide others which is even worse than being deceived yourself. It is something that is getting kind of cultish. Not just because people are joining the deception but because even though these people are saying God said the Earth is flat when there is no place in the Bible that will confirm this. I did an extensive search through different Bible apps and found no verse in the Bible that states the Earth is flat.
The closest it comes to confirming a flat Earth is where in a couple places "the four corners of the world" are referred to. This would make Earth a square or rectangle and all of the artist's renderings of the flat Earth are round. Other than that, there is no reference to a flat Earth anywhere in the Bible but I'm sure you know that.
Question, do you think that flat Earth people saying a spherical Earth is a deception from the devil are actually doing the devil's work by convincing others to make false claims about God's word in the deception of spreading the true word of God? So that heartfelt believers will decide other heartfelt believers.
Sorry, I don't mean to drone on and on but for some reason, this phenominon facinates me like are these people who otherwise are capable of making logical decisions? Do they live everyday live with gainful employment? I wonder how someone could believe something so entirely illogical and still make logical decidions in other areas of their lives.

So what are you basing your argument on? Empirical data? No. Is it based on scripture? No. So how do you justify this belief other than it's just something you want to believe?

So are you going to put your money where your mouth is and demonstrate how the flights I linked that are non stop between the continents in the Southern Hemisphere, can work on your flat earth model? Or is this another dishonest attempt to try and discredit the flights without actually addressing the data?

Note: I've given flight times in both directions, so there is no question regarding tail or head winds. Any advantage a jetstream gives in one direction is cancelled out in the other.

I have no idea why they do it, I’m sure different people have different reasons but I honestly don’t think they actually believe it because they can read & write and have the mental capacity to use electronic devices which tells me that it’s not a mental handicap that’s keeping them from understanding the truth. It’s not just that the earth is flat that is hard for me to believe that anyone could believe it’s the worldwide conspiracy to hide that the earth is flat for a hundred years that is absolutely inconceivable. The fact that anyone who could prove that the earth is flat would become the most famous person of all time for exposing such a monumental conspiracy. And the fact that there’s no reason for anyone to hide that the earth is flat to begin with if it was. I think they like to pretend that they know something that no one else knows because it makes them feel like they’re smarter than everyone else even if it isn’t true.

A spherical earth has been proven gazillions of times with 'REAL' science.....a flat earth hasnt...

I hope we're not setting ourselves up for disaster, in that the obvious truth of a round earth leads us to throw our entire faith away once realized.
The Bible does not hold all the information of the universe... Never claims to. Why if it did, we could explain just how many hairs grew on Jesus' head, whether he had curls or straight, his height, etc... We know none of that through the bible, along with a billion other things.

How many hairs are on Jesus' head? If the Bible tells "all" then provide the answer with an exact number.
If you cannot provide the exact number, then you admit openly, to everyone here, that the Bible does not hold the answer to that, or to many, many other things.

Well, its your belief. That is your choice.
Obviously i see things differently. I believe in God's word. But, i also believe in science. Too many people in the world believe in fantastical conspiracy theories which involve the earth being flat.....
I hope that one day you will see the truth, that the earth is a sphere.

The cosmology of the Bible is pretty clearly geocentric (the earth is at rest and the sun runs circuits around it) and also anytime the earth is described it is consistently painting the picture of a "flat earth" that is set on foundations and has edges, etc.
Let God be true and every man a liar.
