I wander why you define your self as Non-denominational Christians. Pleas share your thoughts:)
Because the Body of Christ is as such, not affiliated with any particular denomination.
Blessings

The main thing is that the church that one attends is not officially affiliated with a denomination. They might have some doctrinal leanings toward Baptist, Pentecostal, or Methodist, but the church itself is not part of the denomination.

I had grown up as Baptist. In my adult years, I slowly realized how different denominations held various false beliefs. For example, the Baptists believe it's wrong to consume any level of alcohol.

I identify as non-denominational because I want my beliefs to be as close to the Bible as possible.

Why non-denominational? I can't quite, and I don't think I ever will find a denomination that quite lines up with where I'm at. But, I'm okay with that, and I can easily fellowship in most denominations.

I...
* resist being labelled as an Arminian or Calvinist
* believe the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is at conversion, with the subsequent command to "be being filled"
* that all of the spiritual gifts cited in the NT are available today
* believe each person who is impressed to speak in tongues in church must first get permission from a group of elders or similar authorities, even when a pastor wants to speak in tongues...that every message in tongues spoken is to be judged for its validity...that when preachers utter smatterings of unintelligible sounds while speaking, that these sounds are not tongues...that not all have the gift of tongues...that tongues are not genuine when people are coached on how-to's or given to believe...that reaching a crescendo of expression will enable the impartation
* that we are to ask God exactly for what we desire Him to do, period
* that it is not God's desire that all become wealthy, that the teaching of our hope of eternal life must speak more loudly than any emphasis on the abundant life that Jesus wants for us here
* that communion should be done often, not when it suits us
* that water baptism should receive a hundred-fold more emphasis than is given in most evangelical churches. It is too important and too much a source of intended encouragement to be treated in a casual way.
* that even while the believing Jew and Gentile are joined as "one new man", the Gentiles are grafted into the believing remnant of Israel, that historical Israel still plays a vital role in God's prophetic calendar.
* That the "rapture" is the 2nd Coming and the Eternal Reign is within the new heavens and new earth, with God reigning from the New Jerusalem

I'm not non-denominational myself, but if I weren't Southern Baptist, I'd just got to a non-denominational church.

Most other Baptist denominations, imo, pick weird hills to die on like being KJV-Only or teaching Landmarkism.

What are the main characteristics of a non-denominational? All of the anti's:
  • Anti-liturgical
  • Anti-Sacramental
  • Anti-Creedal
  • Anti-Reformational
  • Anti-historical
Not necessarily.

The Metropolitan Community Church can be considered "non-denominational" and they are rather liturgical and have a high view on Baptism and Communion.

Although, they can get rather murky because they were founded by an openly gay man so LGBT can worship God without changing their ways.

I've also heard that some former UMC churches have opted to become non-denominational. They didn't agree with the UMC on LGBT issues, but didn't want to join up with the GMC, either.

Yes.
It is the church of Christ. not the Baptist church, the Catholic Church, the 7th Day...
From the Campbell movement? Also associated with them is the Christian Church and Disciples of Christ?

Yup. Many of them also joined the newly formed Global Methodist Church.

Just a comparatively small point - there is no such thing as the Baptist church. There are local Baptist churches, which may or may not voluntarily join themselves to a grouping of local baptist churches, such as the Baptist Union of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and Grace Baptist Assembly here in the UK.
