Luke 13:14-22 ASV
14 And the ruler of the synagogue, being moved with indignation because Jesus had healed on the sabbath, answered and said to the multitude, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the day of the sabbath.
15 But the Lord answered him, and said, Ye hypocrites, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?
16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan had bound, lo, these eighteen years, to have been loosed from this bond on the day of the sabbath?
17 And as he said these things, all his adversaries were put to shame: and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.
18 He said therefore, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I liken it?
19 It is like unto a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his own garden; and it grew, and became a tree; and the birds of the heaven lodged in the branches thereof.
20 And again he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God?
21 It is like unto leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till it was all leavened.
22 And he went on his way through cities and villages, teaching, and journeying on unto Jerusalem.

The understanding is fully expounded in Matthew 13. The grain of the mustard seed (faith) is planted in the third day. The three measures of meal are three days, (re: Gen 40:12, Gen 40:18, (typological axiom-exemplars, cf. Mrk 4:13)).

As a Christian, I need to keep to the Sabbath, and use it as a day for keeping holy, instead of watching TV shows and running my laundry machine. It is the 2020s man, so tech can be a distraction for me.

Amen, if those things are weaknesses unto you then surely they are part of the many reasons why faith like a mustard seed is a bitter herb.

Day Three:

Genesis 1:11-12

[11] And Elohim says, Let the eretz bring forth a tender herb yielding seed of a fruitful tree producing fruit unto its kind whose seed is in itself upon the eretz: and HE WHO IS sets it thus [ויהיכן].
[12] And the eretz brings forth a tender herb yielding seed unto its kind, a tree producing fruit whose seed is in itself unto its kind: and Elohim looks thereon for good.

Thus we have faith like a mustard seed in Genesis 1:11-12, the least of all the seeds which are sown, which begins as a herb, and yet becomes a tree, just as the Master says concerning things kept hidden from the foundation of the world.

Matthew 13:31-32 KJV
31 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:
32 Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.

Three Days: (Days 4-6)

Matthew 13:33 KJV
33 Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

And these are things that were kept hidden from the foundation of the world, (for Meshiah to come and expound).

Matthew 13:34-35 KJV
34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:
35 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

Goes to show how our faith can grow quickly, if we follow God's 10 commandments, and listen to His parables.

Day Three Part 1, Genesis 1:9-10.

Matthew 13:1-2 KJV
1 The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side.
2 And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.

Herein we read of both the sea and the shore, which is land, and the multitude is standing upon the shore, the land, and thus we have the gathering of the waters and the dry land at the beginning of the third day, Genesis 1:9-10.

Day Three Part 2, "Behold, a sower went forth to sow", Genesis 1:11-13, and the Master therefore divides day three in half, which is incredibly significant in prophetic terms due to all such language elsewhere in the Prophets, (i.e. three days and a half).

Matthew 13:3-9 KJV
3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;
4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:
5 Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:
6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:
8 But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
9 Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Then the talmidim ask a question and receive a full explanation:

Matthew 13:10-23 KJV
10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.
13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
17 For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
18 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.
19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Day Three: a second parable teaching the same principles:

Matthew 13:24-28 KJV
24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

But in the midst of this parable the Master extends the time to the sixth day, the harvest and the consummation of the age, and this will be expounded later in the passage below when his talmidim ask him about the parable of the tares of the field.

Matthew 13:29-30 KJV
29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Then the Master commences yet again with the third day, Genesis 1:11-13, and inserts the three days from the midst of the third day to the sixth day, following through with the days of creation unto the sixth day with the parable of the three measures of flour.

Matthew 13:31-35 KJV
31 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:
32 Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.
33 Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:
35 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

Then the talmidim ask for the understanding of the parable of the tares of the field, and the Master expounds it as concerning the consummation or end of the age, and he continues with more parables that are different yet teaching the same, saying, "Again", meaning repetitions of the same previous teachings from above herein.

Matthew 13:36-43 KJV
36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.
37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; [αιων, age] and the reapers are the angels.
40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world [αιων, age].
41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

And thus the follow up which comes in the statements below: for the righteous shining forth as the sun in the Kingdom of their Father have entered into Shabbat.

Day Four:

Matthew 13:44 KJV
44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

Day Five:

Matthew 13:45 KJV
45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:
46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

Day Six:

Matthew 13:47-50 KJV
47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:
48 Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
49 So shall it be at the end of the world: [αιων, age] the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

And thus the parable of the net which gathered of every kind is the same as the harvest at the consummation of the age, the parable of the tares and the harvest, from previous sections of the discourse.

Matthew 13:51-53 KJV
51 Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.
52 Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.
53 And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence.

From the final statement in the passage we are informed that those instructed in the kingdom of the heavens have in their treasure things both new and old:

Matthew 13:52 KJV
52 Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

What therefore are we to gather from the following passage? Is it no more relevant? Absolutely not: it surely remains relevant, and since it is so, what is the overarching primary message to be gathered from it besides the individual statements therein which teach many things? What is the overarching principle in light of the Testimony of the Master in Matthew 13? for surely the righteous who shine as the sun in the Kingdom of their Father, in Matthew 13:43, have entered into the eternal Shabbat of the heavenly Father.

Isaiah 56:1-8 KJV
1 Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.
2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.
3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.
4 For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;
5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;
7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.
8 The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.

The overarching principle must therefore be this:

Blessed is the one who honors and observes the Shabbat, who keeps from polluting it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil therein, and likewise the son of the stranger who joins himself unto YHWH Elohim, the El Most High of the patriarchs both before and after the flood, and the Most High El of all Yisrael, who keep His Shabbatot, and choose the things that please Him, and who take hold of His covenant: for He will surely guide them in the paths of righteousness, and lead them in the way into His Eternal Shabbat.

Is this not also what the author of Hebrews teaches?
We must labor and strive to enter into His Rest.

Hebrews 4:1-11 KJV
1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Our observance of the Shabbat is practice, (as in, practice makes perfect), and our practice is an example to friends, neighbors, and even the world, to the glory of the Father. However our practice is not the end-all: that is reserved for the Eternal Shabbat, when the trials and testings of great tribulation have come to pass and the tares are cast into the fiery place prepared for the Devil and his angels.
