Thank you so much for providing the video link. In the context of "Detroit is corrupt", President Trump is very, very clearly talking about how the votes were collected and counted. Anyone can watch the video and recognize that Trump was NOT TALKING about the communities and people in Detroit. The context shows that he was talking about the examples he addressed in the video.
You are quite welcome. If I had more time I would have said just how beside himself Trump was after losing the election, and attacking people, states and cities in his quest to overturn the results. In case you missed it, the lawsuits were all denied and it determined that there were no voting irregularities to overturn any results in Detroit or any place in the country for that matter.

He wrongly called Detroit corrupt, and Detroit is still waiting for an apology. probably.

This is another example why Trump will never win the city, and may do even worse this time getting less than 3% of the vote. :)

The OP is ridiculous for the fact that Biden already visited Detroit, and a certain leader of that church is going out of his way to insert his politics into the story.

Like the few times he met the public called them lying dog faced pony soldiers? Or perhaps when he screeched at an auto worker telling him, I don’t work for you.

Or how about standing by while his dog attacks secret service team members.
They’re flawed human beings. You cannot expect people to be nice all the time.

No. I’m not defending anyone.

I hope everyone got a chance to see Trump speaking to the people while Joe was hobnobbing with Hollywood stars
He was there last month.

The VP who visited Detroit the most during their tenure is Biden.

Obama was there literally 5 days ago.

Why does it always have to come down to race? Perhaps that is why support from the minority community is at its lowest point in sixty years.
It is because of the "Hood". I didn't say it, the black guy did. He made this about race. Blame him.

94% of Detroit voted for the President Joe Biden in 2020 presidential election. 74% of Detroit is black.

Are liberals denying that current polling from these last several months til the present day are showing significantly increased amounts of support from the minority communities in favor of Donald Trump when compared to the 2020 election?

Polls mean nothing at this point.

you have polls saying Trump is leading? Good for him! He needs some ego-stroking to getto the finish line. They still mean nothing.

Biden’s tightly scripted events do not lend to getting close to the average person, let alone a minority. We tend to speak our minds and Joe’s handlers cannot chance him yelling at someone again or calling them names like lying dog faced pony soldier.
The pastor and the author of the article in the OP made it about race. According to Dictionary.com, 'the hood' is slang for an urban, intercity neighborhood "predominantly inhabited by African-Americans of low socioeconomic status."

Trump made it about race when he went on about how Biden has been bad for the black community.

And Trump lied again. He stated :
During a Saturday roundtable discussion at a predominately Black church in Detroit, Trump said President Joe Biden “has done nothing for you except talk,” adding: “We achieved the lowest African American unemployment rate and the lowest African American poverty rate ever recorded – ever, ever recorded – during my four years.”...
Wrong!

The record low for the Black or African American unemployment rate, 4.8%, was set under Biden in April 2023. That beat the Trump-era low that was a record at the time, 5.3% in August 2019 and September 2019.
When Trump left office, the unemployment rate for African Americans was 9.4%.

The record low in the official poverty rate for Black individuals, 17.1%, was set under Biden in 2022, the most recent year for which the data is available. Under Trump, the lowest official poverty rate for Black individuals was a then-record 18.8% in 2019.

In order to directly respond to me, you need have quoted me. You did not.

I answered the question in the first person. Polls are meaningless at this point. I don't know nor care about what other people (you call liberals) believe about polls. You want to know what they think, go ask them. I don't speak for them.

No ma’am. The one who said they were mostly whites.

Any vague reference has no bearing on it.

I have a question.

If all of that is true, then why is the polling showing a decreasing amount of support from black Americans and Hispanic Americans towards Joe Biden and the Democratic Party compared to an increasing amount of support from those minority groups towards Donald Trump and the Republican Party?

I'm not really sure. Most polls are conducted by phone, and lots of people ignore them.
I think young people are more progressive than both candidates, and if Trump is elected our country will be such a hot mess that a more radical solution would be needed. They want to radicalize the moderates by letting bedlam get loose.

Nope, sorry. It was an event at a black church to court black voters and yet a large group that was there were white MAGA supporters. And the pastor compared him to Obama. The pastor, the author of the article and Trump made it about race.
