I have fond memories of my childhood and America. I remember MTv, fragile Rock, HBO and cable TV. I remember the 4th of July as a kid. If only I could go back to a more simpler time. That's how my fleshy mind thinks.

It's all rubbish to me now however. I can't go back and America never helped me follow Jesus. It helped kill me inside instead. I want to live.

Ecclesiastes 7:10 Do not say, “Why were the former days better than these?”.For you do not inquire wisely concerning this.

11 Wisdom is good with an inheritance,
And profitable to those who see the sun.
12 For wisdom is a defense as money is a defense, But the excellence of knowledge is that wisdom gives life to those who have it.

13 Consider the work of God;
For who can make straight what He has made crooked?
14 In the day of prosperity be joyful,
But in the day of adversity consider:
Surely God has appointed the one [h]as well as the other,
So that man can find out nothing that will come after him.

Like many in America, my not too distant ancestors came here from other countries--all 4 grandparents. I was taught the US is the greatest nation in history, and was taught in elementary school to salute the flag and to pledge allegiance to the most democratic country in the world. I was taught by Christians that American democracy was equal to Christian theocracy. What trash! ;)

When I got better educated I came to recognize that all nations try to teach their children to become good citizens of the state, willing to preserve it, serve it, and die for it. It can be a pretty bad country and still teach its youth that it's the "best system in the world!" It's really more about racial or national pride than about the Kingdom of God! ;)

So I learned, in history, that the US was founded about the time of the European Enlightenment and was heavily influenced by it. Anybody who knows anything about the Enlightenment and Deism knows that it contaminated the US--not Christianize it! The Enlightenment was positively antiChristian! The kind of "Christianity" it did foster, ie Deism, was an imposter, removing a divine Christ from the God of Nature.

So the US grew up as a divided system, compromised between traditional Christianity and modern philosophical ideals that were against Christianity. This is what produced our political pluralism. Just read the 10 Commandments and you will see the difference.

The Bible commanded Israel to have "no other gods"--just one. The Enlightenment taught tolerance for all religions, condemning religious dogmatism that would state "only one God," or "only one religion."

No, I love my country because God set up a society to protect it. And we should love our family, neighbors, and fellow citizens. But my eyes are wide open, and I won't be seduced by lies. Thank you!

I still like apple pie though.
Concerned citizens tried to warn consumers about bad reactions to pesitcides on most apples.
They were sued by the apples and a gag order issued
so they cannot warn us when the apples have poisons that harm us . They can routinely sell those apples that cause harm, without any penalty or fear of being sued.

Days gone by - the good ol' days , remember then, not so good now.... dangerous days we live in
