  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    No taxation without representation!

Get the US out of the UN and the UN out of the US. This is overstepping on a massive scale. If it wasn't for the United States, the UN wouldn't even exist. Yeah, I'll bet they would. This is nothing more than a shakedown racket---picking the pocket of somebody you disagree with by making up...

U.S. priests report high confidence in Pope Leo XIV, less trust in bishops

Given the track record of far too many American bishops over the last 40 years, distrust and wariness on the part of the clergy---especially traditional, conservative clergy---should be expected.

How we think about marriage needs to change

What it all boils down to is that too many couples spend an enormous amount of time and effort into planning "the wedding", and almost none into planning "the marriage". :( A lot of it has to do with the wedding industry in this country, which represents big bucks for vendors, caterers...

Younger priests remain more conservative than older priests in U.S., survey says

There are signs of hope here and there. :) If our culture can avoid being destroyed by the Islamo-Communist Left, then I think it might---just might---recover from the current wave of insanity that we have been immersed in since the 1960s. Future generations may look back at this time period...

    Requesting prayers....

Yeah....I will never forget that guy. His name was Dr. Bradford---or more likely his real name was Herr Doktor von Bratvoord, at Buchenwald, or Dachau, or Auschwitz.....wherever he started out from. He held my mouth open by putting a clamp in my jaws, and he got my upper lip pinched between...

At U.S. ‘supermax’ prison, foreign-born Muslim with no arms files religious liberty suit

I think he should get just as much consideration as he gave to whoever it was that he killed to get thrown into that prison in the first place.

    Requesting prayers....

Thanks, guys. It went okay, I guess....I opted for nitrous oxide and was pretty much out of it for most of it. They didn't have to remove any teeth, which is good, but boy is my jaw sore! :(

    Requesting prayers....

I have to go in this morning for either two root canals, or one root canal and one extraction. :( I am not a fan of dental work, thanks to the very first dentist I ever saw in 1965---a sadist whom I believe to this very day was an escaped Nazi. In any event, I am not looking forward to this...

Bill Gates launches micro-patch implants to serve as "vaccination passport" for entry into public and commercial buildings

The Exorcist III was based on Blatty's own 1983 sequel novel, entitled Legion. The rest of the movies, as far as I know, were not based on his novels---they used the characters and outlines for plots dreamed up by Hollywood screenwriters.

Bill Gates launches micro-patch implants to serve as "vaccination passport" for entry into public and commercial buildings

I like the old classic monster movies from the 30s, too (although most of them seem pretty campy now), and for the same reason I like the classic "big bug" movies of the 1950s: it's neat to look at the clothes, the cars, etc. :) And I agree with you on many of the movies today---I'm not much...

Bill Gates launches micro-patch implants to serve as "vaccination passport" for entry into public and commercial buildings

There were a lot of really strange movies that came out in the early 1970s----The Exorcist, of course, and Rosemary's Baby; but there was also The Omen, and The Wicker Man, and The Possession of Joel Delaney, just to name a few. And those were just the ones that weren't straight-up horror...

Bill Gates launches micro-patch implants to serve as "vaccination passport" for entry into public and commercial buildings

I've never seen the movie or read the book, but I have read snippets from it. At the very end of the book, after Rosemary has given birth to this thing, it is described as having golden-colored eyes with black slit pupils, rather like a cat's eyes; it has tiny talons on its hands and feet; it...

Bill Gates launches micro-patch implants to serve as "vaccination passport" for entry into public and commercial buildings

The Gates Foundation has unveiled microneedle patch implants that deliver mRNA and leave a permanent quantum dot marking under your skin, essentially creating a biological vaccine passport. Human testing has already begun, and reports suggest these patches could soon be required for entry into...

Is Christian Renaissance About to Come From an Unexpected Source?

Let's all pray that this is the case. I remember that St. John Paul II once said that the future of the Church would be from Africa; maybe his prophecy will be proved true...
