  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    Young earth vs Old earth?

When your comments are nonsense, I am addressing the nonsense. If you take it personally, that is your issue. If what you are doing is evading the honest questions about the issue which you actually brought up, then why do you think it's inappropriate for me to confront your evasion? You're...

    Young earth vs Old earth?

Your explanation is nonsense. Why do atheists claim there is no such thing as a miracle? It's because they know that miracles conflict with science. Your response makes me wonder if you actually know the definition of science. Your statement "A miracle isn’t nature breaking its own rules; it’s...

    Young earth vs Old earth?

Right, and the disciples were also scooting their boat on the ice.:swoon:

    Young earth vs Old earth?

Your original statement that I was objecting to is: "Miracles do not violate the Laws of Physics". But your responses to my responses seem inconsistent. A miracle by definition is that it violates the laws of physics, in which there are many examples in scripture. It means an event that is...

    Young earth vs Old earth?

This makes no sense. It looks like you're denying miracles by explaining that God does it. All the obvious miracles in the Bible were done by God, and they are still called miracles. It's what "supernatural" means. Miracles are defined as such, because they are supernatural by definition, and...

    Young earth vs Old earth?

How does Jesus walking on the water, Moses parting the Red Sea, and such not violate the laws of physics? When Jesus ascended into the clouds, I suppose you have an explanation how that conforms to the laws of physics?

One Faith, One Lord, One Baptism, One God and Father of ALL

It is interesting that a very large percentage of the NT and much of the OT were written because of controversies - between believers and unbelievers, among Jews, and in the churches. As long as we are in this world (before Jesus takes us out of it), there will be controversies, because we all...

Are people really using AI to post things on here?

It all depends on how you use it.

Are people really using AI to post things on here?

AI can be useful and save time. Obviously you can use a browser since you're here... so using Microsoft Copilot (Win 11) is very easy. Just click on the colored ribbon on the right end of the search field in a new tab. Then just ask a question. You might get some extra effort like "verify human"...

    According to His Great Mercy

I'd like to address this statement from your teaching. There is a right faith and a wrong faith, according to James and by implication, according to the other apostles, especially Paul. The faith of the NT by which we are justified is the faith that is described by Jesus and the apostles in the...

Are people really using AI to post things on here?

I use MS Copilot regularly. It's just a tool to help find things faster than surfing the internet. I use it when searches yield lots of info unrelated to what I'm looking for. I would rather get AI to hone in on my answer than to have to look for a needle in a haystack that I used to do. I also...

    Were you raised Baptist?

Non-denominational is a denomination. It might be called "miscellaneous." Actually, in my distant past, I was raised in several denominations, Pentecostal, Charismatic, Presbyterian, and Baptist. I currently go to a Bible Church, because the main thrust is on what the Bible actually says (as...

    Men's expectations over Jesus

I don't get your point. If you are starting a conversation about Christ with someone, do you start with the doctrine of "Son of Man," or do you start with "Jesus died for our sins"? Otherwise, what's the point of your OP?

    Men's expectations over Jesus

"Joyfully speaking"? You mean "foolishly speaking"? Not sure what you mean. I was merely trying to answer your question from a Biblical standpoint. But in Mk. 4:21, Jesus is speaking to an unbeliever, and the statement is both a basic gospel statement and a test to Pilate to see how he will take...

So there is this guy that I like, but...

And the sooner the better. The more you gather sentiment with him, the stronger the psychological bond, and the more you hurt emotionally at breakup, if that happens. The Bible says, "do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers," which could apply to any area of life, but especially so in...
