  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I dont need teachers. Change my mind

No one is asking that you pretend. Guilt and shame are good, if it pushes you closer to Christ.

I dont need teachers. Change my mind

If the problem is self-pity, then it is pride that's behind it. Self-condemnation means that you're taking the seat of a judge against yourself. But Peter wrote for us to be ready to share our faith if someone asks. There will likely be times when you are confronted by others of potential...

Lara Trump Speaks Again About President’s Rumored UFO Speech

It might be difficult to explain physical evidence such as spacecraft if it exists, as being demonic in origin. However, I highly recommend this DVD for a Biblical explanation and real experiential evidence and testimonies that show UFO phenomena as demonic...

I dont need teachers. Change my mind

Don't throw out the "baby with the bath water." No man, even the best teacher, is infallible. I always compare what is taught with what the Bible says. However, I'm not infallible either. I recognize that every denomination and everyone with strong opinions claim they are led by the Spirit. My...

    Unforgivable

Just a word of encouragement: many of us go through what is known as a "wilderness experience," alluding to the book of Numbers, where the Israelites trekked for 40 years in the wilderness before entering the promised land. I'm not suggesting it lasts that long. But God tests our faith this way...

I dont need teachers. Change my mind

Peter wrote, "as newborn babes, long for the pure milk of the word that you may grow thereby." Nevertheless, this is not an exclusive action to take over the long haul. God placed teachers in the body of Christ for edification. There was a time when I read and studied the Bible exclusively...

Protestant pastor expelled for refusing to participate in Catholic ritual in Mexico

The amish have it wrong, as do you. And no, my definition comes from the context of scripture, which I can see you are unfamiliar with. I'm merely applying the scripture and its meaning, as did the man they persecuted.

Protestant pastor expelled for refusing to participate in Catholic ritual in Mexico

No, you didn't mean the same thing, it's obvious by your previous response. According to the guy who was persecuted by the Catholic leaders who tried to coerce him into committing idolatry. Wrong. Any image (such as a statue of St. James) for the purpose of venerating (which is a form of...

Protestant pastor expelled for refusing to participate in Catholic ritual in Mexico

No, I disagree with you on this, since you are taking it out of context and making it mean something different. Moses wrote Ex. 20:4-6 with the purpose of telling people not to worship idols (1 Jn. 5:21). So every subcommand in the command is against worshipping idols. Therefore, the "making...

Protestant pastor expelled for refusing to participate in Catholic ritual in Mexico

The purpose of the statue of St. James is to bow down and worship at it. That's the idolatry and sin. If it was merely art, then people would not be kneeling before it. Furthermore, the fact that the leaders persecuted the man who refused to kneel before it, thus declaring it's mere art and...

WHY PAULS GOSPEL THE MOST IMPORTANT GOSPEL. IN THE WORLD. !!

You're contradicting the clear verse that says Paul baptized 2 people in Corinth. So I'm out of here.

Protestant pastor expelled for refusing to participate in Catholic ritual in Mexico

That's a loaded question. If you mean bowing to a statue is equivalent to bowing to God, then the obvious answer is yes, it is, according to Ex. 20:5 "Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them."

Ex. 20:4-6 "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting...

Protestant pastor expelled for refusing to participate in Catholic ritual in Mexico

Evading the question. The point is that kneeling or bowing to an image is what was condemned in the OT, because it stank of polytheism. Just knowing that there is only one true God doesn't excuse bowing to an image, since the act is a witness of what one believes. If you have to explain...
