  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    Does Regeneration Precede Faith?

I'm no longer going to respond to you, because all you're doing is looking for yet more objections to what I say in complete disregard of the scripture I cite. This means to me that all you want to do is argue about the matter. Consider this my last response. 1. Eph. 2:8 tells us that...

    Does Regeneration Precede Faith?

Part 2: A human rescuer may not be able to save everyone. Then a person who was actually saved will all the more appreciate being saved. If the burning building wasn't bad enough that the situation was desperate enough to kill most people in it, and then everyone was indeed saved, then the...

    Does Regeneration Precede Faith?

Who said anything about a pill? Humility is not an "emotion" as you claim, but is a spiritual understanding of one's own condition. "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." When you talk about "emotions" you are talking about living according to the flesh - that is...

    Does Regeneration Precede Faith?

No, not everyone humbles himself, this is the why of Luke 14:11. If a person accepts the gospel as charity, it means they understand that God wants to reconcile with them, which is a measure of faith in Christ, since it is the gospel. I suppose that Hagar and Ishmael accepted charity from God...

    Does Regeneration Precede Faith?

You didn't say what you are objecting to, so how can I respond? Everything I write is found in scripture. If you are injecting yourself in the conversation at this point, how do I know you aren't taking my statement out of context? I said that God sees nothing at all in us that merits (prompts)...

    Does Regeneration Precede Faith?

So then does God see someone's "humble acceptance of His undeserved pure charity" prompt Him to cause Spiritual blessing, namely eternal life? You said, "This willingness to accept of your own free will is all God needs to shower you with unbelievable wonderful gifts." - is this "free-will"...

    Does Regeneration Precede Faith?

It seems to me that you don't believe what the apostle Paul clearly states in 1 Cor. 2 and Rom. 3 about unregenerate man. It also appears to me that you don't think "choosing to believe in Jesus" is a righteous choice. There is a cognitive dissonance in your stand. If you agreed with Paul in...

    Does Regeneration Precede Faith?

When you say, "but regeneration must be accepted by man," are you assuming that a person already regenerated, having the Holy Spirit in him speaking to him, could actually have such a rotten attitude (hate toward God) that he rejects the regeneration given? If God is merciful toward someone...

    OSAS - I was wrong...again

What about all the people who believe and die long before the mark of the beast becomes the ultimate test? It seems to me your scenario is a straw man, because it appears to be set up for failure. There is plenty of evidence for OSAS in the NT that you can find, if you care to look for it. But...

    OSAS - I was wrong...again

No true believer will ever take the mark of the beast; but I doubt you will agree. Jesus said, "not everyone who calls Me 'Lord' will enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore we know that many people who claim to be Christian will take the mark. But they were never saved to begin with. And I still...

    OSAS - I was wrong...again

Your response makes no sense at all. It appears to me you're just wanting to argue. I'm putting you on ignore.

Bill Gates Says Climate Change ‘Will Not Lead to Humanity’s Demise’

"Climate change" - aka "global warming" is a fact. The crisis was and is a HOAX and what I call "urban legend." IMO, the reasons for the alarms were: 1. To panic people (herd them to doing things) that would make the alarmists rich (the ones smart enough to invest in it). 2. To obtain political...

    Does Regeneration Precede Faith?

Regardless of the lexical argument in this verse, the experience still ends up being chronological, even though it may seem simultaneous, for these reasons: 1. According to 1 Cor. 2:14-16, a person must first be spiritual (i.e. made spiritual by God) in order to understand the gospel enough to...

, I Cor 9:21 does not say under the law to Christ

The law of Christ is, "love one another." Gal. 6 speaks of this as well as many other places like the book of 1 John. In 1 Cor. 9:21, Paul is using a play on words to express a point, which is used by most Biblical authors in many places. He is saying that when relating to Gentiles, he does not...

    What commandments?

There is only one commandment - Love God and neighbors. So if you love God, you will: 1. Seek to know Him through reading & studying the Bible, and fellowship with other Christians. 2. Honor God by public worship, being baptized, taking communion, and applying God's commandments to yourself. If...
