  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Do you keep the Sabbath? (poll)

Yes, Bob. One of the most deceiving tactics used by deceivers, "Who come in Christ's name", is to quote some of God's Word to promote a philosophy or doctrine that would not stand if more of God's Word is considered. I have observed for many years, the promoters of this world's religions use...

Do you keep the Sabbath? (poll)

Where is it written on Mt. Sinai that man is forbidden to take 2 wives? Ex. 21: 10 If he take him another wife; her food, her raiment, and her duty of marriage, shall he not diminish. 11 And if he do not these three unto her, then shall she go out free without money. The lie you have adopted...

Why we are not supposed to keep the Sabbath

Well there you go then. You don't need Jesus or His Warnings or Peter's teaching, as you are already there, based on your own words. JW's also teach the same about themselves. Calvinists too. And Catholics, and Mormons and SDA. All claiming they live by the one true gospel and are members of the...

Do you keep the Sabbath? (poll)

Well certainly not the Levitical Priesthood Law God gave on Mt. Sinai, because of Transgressions. It didn't exist in the beginning. Levi wasn't even born until centuries after Abraham. God's Grace existed, man's Faith existed, God's definition of Sin existed. But the Priesthood Covenant God made...

What happens spiritually that makes us born again?

Yes, as it is written "And that "ye put on" the new man, "which after God" (Not man) is created "in righteousness and true holiness".

What happens spiritually that makes us born again?

Yes, this is why Paul taught both Jew and Gentile to continue in the Holy Scriptures "for doctrine, correction, reproof and instruction in Righteousness", as this is where the righteousness of God is revealed

Why we are not supposed to keep the Sabbath

I am quite sure the Amalekites, when you meet them, will tell you they wished they had considered God's Laws given on Mt. Sinai as "Relevant" to them, when they had the chance. That the Day they heard God's Voice, they would have hearkened to His Voice, not harden their hearts and blown it off...

Why we are not supposed to keep the Sabbath

The Jesus "of the Bible" said to "Take Heed" specifically of the teaching of a "Many" who come in His Name, teaching that HE is the Prophesied Christ, and He also warns about "Many", who call Jesus Lord, Lord, but disobey His/His Father's Commandments (He Said said they are One). Since I was a...

Why we are not supposed to keep the Sabbath

One law "shall be to him" that is homeborn, and "unto" the stranger that sojourneth among you. Remember, There is only One God. And HE doesn't make you or any human respect Him. It is a choice God gives to men. God gave these people a choice to partake in His Salvation plan for mankind, to...

Why we are not supposed to keep the Sabbath

Yes, you can spot these people who read their own philosophy into Scriptures, by the way they avoid or hide from an actual discussion about what the actual scriptures say. Yes, the Holy Scriptures themselves, expose false teachings, when ALL of them are considered. This is why Jesus told His...

Why we are not supposed to keep the Sabbath

I simply pointed out to you what the God, who inspired the Holy Scriptures that Paul said were trustworthy "for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.", had written. No different than...

Why we are not supposed to keep the Sabbath

Not according to God's Law. But according to the Commandments of men the Pharisees taught for doctrines, this was true. According to the Pharisees, Faithful Gentiles "were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope...

Do you keep the Sabbath? (poll)

This is true. The Law defines sin. Where there is no Law, there is no sin. There can't be sin, because as you said, the LAW points out sin. So Bob, as you have pointed out, there is no transgression of God's Law, without God's Law. We know Adam sinned, therefore there was law. Cain was warned...

Why we are not supposed to keep the Sabbath

My comments were from the heart of a man who was once deceived into believing, the same as you, that Jesus, in Matt. 5, was discouraging men from trusting the Holy Scriptures "for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:" by claiming that The Words of God Jesus...

Why we are not supposed to keep the Sabbath

You can mock God where His Friend Abraham is concerned if the spirit in you leads to such behavior. I would remind you that Abraham is dead, and will remain that way, because HE sinned, just as the Righteous God of Abraham says. And Abraham, like all obedient, Faithful Servants of God died in...
