  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    Sabbatarianism

Yes, I am stuck on what the Lord's Christ actually said in the Holy Scriptures. Friday night, the 6th day of the week, to Sunday morning before the sun comes up is not 3 days in any stretch of the imagination. Yes, Jonah wasn't in the Whales belly for 1.5 days, rather, for 3 days and 3...

    Sabbatarianism

But ralliann, Who are the "They"? The first Church of God under HIS New Prophesied High Priest, The Lord's Christ Jesus, counted according to the Instructions given by God to Moses, and as a result were gathered together on God's Holy Feast, "Pentecost", and the resulting obedience resulted...

    Sabbatarianism

I agree, "Judaism" was the Pharisee's religion, or as Paul called it, "The Jews Religion". So God sent Jesus in a world where the mainstream religion, "who professed to know" the God of Abraham, was the Pharisees and the Sadducees religion. Paul was a zealous member of this religion during the...

    Sabbatarianism

Who is the "They", Mary and the Disciples who clearly understood the Sabbath Jesus was "Lord of", or the mainstream preachers of that time who had polluted God's sabbath, and were teaching for doctrines the commandments of men? Yes, Passover was "Preparation Day" for the First Day of...

    Sabbatarianism

I was also raised under this religious tradition, but when a man studies the event for himself, it just doesn't add up. Although it is a necessary doctrine it seems, to justify the rejection of God's Sabbath, and the adoption of the Catholic sabbath, as there is no prophesy, no declaration...

    Sabbatarianism

It has been long known by Catholic Philosophers and Theologians that there is no Biblical instruction to reject the 7th day Sabbath of God, and move the Holy day to the 1st day of the week. The change was not Prophesied anywhere in the entire Law and Prophets, nor was it prophesied or directed...

How did Jesus end the law without abolishing it?

Be that as it may, there is a difference between the unfaithful son, and the faithful son. Just denying the difference, or refusing to accept the difference, or preaching the difference doesn't exist, doesn't change the Biblical Fact that there is a difference between a faithful man and an...

How did Jesus end the law without abolishing it?

It is clear you don't understand the difference between choosing to "Reject" God's Judgments and Commandments, living instead by your own judgments and Commandments, (Work iniquity) VS. choosing to "Yield Oneself" to God by adopting God's Judgments and Commandments and denying your own, (Child...

How did Jesus end the law without abolishing it?

This is clearly your adopted religion, and a popular one among the "many" who call Jesus Lord, Lord. But a Child that "chooses" to obey his Mom over the words of the popular boy down the street, doesn't make him, the "chooser", "the Mom". It Doesn't mean he "Pushed his Moms will away" as...

How did Jesus end the law without abolishing it?

This is a popular religious philosophy of this world religions, "who come in Christ's Name". But I don't believe that God creating humans with the free will ability to choose God's Words or reject God's Words is Evil, or as you preach "Godless". Of course, if I choose to reject God's Word, the...

How did Jesus end the law without abolishing it?

I have found through study that God placed me in a world in which other voices exist, just as HE did Eve. These "other voices" work to diminish God's Word, implying that God Lies to people, and that His Words can not be trusted. You can see this in the story of Eve. We see examples of men...

How did Jesus end the law without abolishing it?

Free will is a great responsibility. With it must come a free will choice to limit or place boundaries on the free will. Even God, who clearly has free will, placed boundaries and Limitations on His Own free will. He is a Just, and Merciful God. No one makes Him be Just and Merciful, He places...

How did Jesus end the law without abolishing it?

Thank you for your thoughtful reply. I understand your philosophy here, as it has been promoted by this world's religions since my youth. Before that as well, but I can only speak to it's influence on me, in my life. I don't believe the Bible, if all of it is considered, supports this popular...

How did Jesus end the law without abolishing it?

You are right to question this world's religious system, and the doctrines and philosophies promoted therein. Of all the things Jesus could have warned about, Islam, Atheism, Buddhism, satanism, HE didn't mention them in the question posed to Him in Matt. 24 3. He warned them about "Many", who...

How did Jesus end the law without abolishing it?

You are assuming a lot of things here. #1. You are assuming the death being spoken of here is mortal death. Death of the mortal body. But God created man mortal. He instructed them to multiply, as all other living beings. And of course HE did, because mortals die and their genes, traditions...
