  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Why we are not supposed to keep the Sabbath

One law "shall be to him" that is homeborn, and "unto" the stranger that sojourneth among you. Remember, There is only One God. And HE doesn't make you or any human respect Him. It is a choice God gives to men. God gave these people a choice to partake in His Salvation plan for mankind, to...

Why we are not supposed to keep the Sabbath

Yes, you can spot these people who read their own philosophy into Scriptures, by the way they avoid or hide from an actual discussion about what the actual scriptures say. Yes, the Holy Scriptures themselves, expose false teachings, when ALL of them are considered. This is why Jesus told His...

Why we are not supposed to keep the Sabbath

I simply pointed out to you what the God, who inspired the Holy Scriptures that Paul said were trustworthy "for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.", had written. No different than...

Why we are not supposed to keep the Sabbath

Not according to God's Law. But according to the Commandments of men the Pharisees taught for doctrines, this was true. According to the Pharisees, Faithful Gentiles "were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope...

Do you keep the Sabbath? (poll)

This is true. The Law defines sin. Where there is no Law, there is no sin. There can't be sin, because as you said, the LAW points out sin. So Bob, as you have pointed out, there is no transgression of God's Law, without God's Law. We know Adam sinned, therefore there was law. Cain was warned...

Why we are not supposed to keep the Sabbath

My comments were from the heart of a man who was once deceived into believing, the same as you, that Jesus, in Matt. 5, was discouraging men from trusting the Holy Scriptures "for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:" by claiming that The Words of God Jesus...

Why we are not supposed to keep the Sabbath

You can mock God where His Friend Abraham is concerned if the spirit in you leads to such behavior. I would remind you that Abraham is dead, and will remain that way, because HE sinned, just as the Righteous God of Abraham says. And Abraham, like all obedient, Faithful Servants of God died in...

Why we are not supposed to keep the Sabbath

The deceiver would have us believe that Moses created LAWs. That Jesus lied to us. And that we can not trust the Holy Scriptures "for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works." Jesus said...

Why we are not supposed to keep the Sabbath

I know you are just furthering what this world's religions have taught you, and you genuinely believe what you just posted. And it is doubtful, as Jesus declares, that you will be persuaded of anything different. Nevertheless, because of Love for the brethren, I would like to share with you and...

Why we are not supposed to keep the Sabbath

It seems you are either omitting, or have not read about the Prophesied Priest that was to come, who ushered in a prophesied New Priesthood Covenant for the remission of Sins. It is written that the Priesthood "works" for remission of sins under the Priesthood "After the Order of Aaron", which...

Why we are not supposed to keep the Sabbath

Why would I continue in the Law of the Priesthood "After the Order of Aaron", when the Law and Prophets Prophesied of the coming of a New Priest, "After the Order of Melchizedek"? In your religion, Jesus is this Prophesied Priest, Yes? And didn't God tell Moses: Deut. 18: 18 I will raise...

Why we are not supposed to keep the Sabbath

From the very beginning, according to the Holy Inspired Word of God, these are spiritual forces in this world whose sole purpose is to turn men away from obedience to the Word of God. This spirit, as the Scriptures clearly show, "Professes to know God" and it quotes "some" of God's Word in it's...

Why we are not supposed to keep the Sabbath

Jesus said; Matt. 22: 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two...

Why we are not supposed to keep the Sabbath

Abraham was married long before he was called by God to leave the religions of his father. This is no proof that God's Law didn't exist. Hopefully God doesn't hold the sins of Abraham against him, before God showed him "the way of the Lord". Otherwise we are all doomed. Sarah gave her handmade...

Why we are not supposed to keep the Sabbath

It is an interesting study for sure. The Jesus "of the Bible" teaches His People to "Seek First" the Kingdom of God and "HIS Righteousness". And that a blessing comes to those who "Hunger and Thirst after God's Righteousness". But For me, when I yielded myself to seek God's righteousness, I...
