  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Can only a Milky-way type of galaxy hold life at this age of the universe?

BS. Energy is not conserved in GR. In an expanding universe the metric coefficients are time dependent for the FWLR metric meaning time translation symmetry is broken which according to Noether's theorem energy is not conserved. Two observations of the universe support this, the acceleration...

Why is it that wherever minimum wage is highest, the cost of living is highest?

I am always wary eating icecream when having a bath.

There is only 2 options, Life formed because of God, or by random chance from non-living matter

I suggest you stick to AI as an assistant when making comments in a science forum, apart from being more coherent than your unaided response it will not make despicable comments (including Grok) about Hawking. Even though you have deleted the offensive comments they remain when quoted unless a...

There is only 2 options, Life formed because of God, or by random chance from non-living matter

This is an impressive list of cherry picking and highlights the dangers in manipulating AI to get any answer you want. Your first reference is a dead giveaway, I read Stephen Hawking’s book A Brief History of Time many years ago and it is not a standard reference used in physics or cosmology as...

There is only 2 options, Life formed because of God, or by random chance from non-living matter

This is news to me. Since the word Planck has been thrown around in this thread there is another parameter the Planck time 10⁻⁴³s which needs to be considered. Below this time frame the universe is at a scale where classical spacetime as a smooth 4‑dimensional differentiable manifold defined by...

There is only 2 options, Life formed because of God, or by random chance from non-living matter

I think this involves legalese but AI cannot reproduce text verbatim where copyright is involved. Below is AI's description of the methodology which is not exactly a detailed account of the procedures involved, it would fail as a supportive document from an external laboratory in forensic...

There is only 2 options, Life formed because of God, or by random chance from non-living matter

On the subject of AI it cannot reproduce papers that are copyright or hidden behind paywalls such as methodology but I found a way it can outline the methodology where the paper is referenced by other authors whose works are in the public domain. In my previous I post I referred to the...

There is only 2 options, Life formed because of God, or by random chance from non-living matter

Why do you persistently ignore the refutation that varying the speed of light will affect the fine structure constant α and therefore the strength of the electromagnetic force profoundly affecting atomic energy levels, chemical bond strengths, nuclear processes, stellar physics and biological...

    Artemis II

Let's hope the launch doesn't occur at sunset with the full moon rising on the horizon as Artemis will have to be launched horizontally according to flat earthers.

There’s a Giant Flaw in Human History

Here is the academic article. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/400586301_The_earliest_metal_drill_of_Naqada_IID_dating It may be the Naqada II culture predynastic Egyptians had a superior metallurgical technology compared to the succeeding pharaonic Old Kingdom given XRF analysis of the...

There’s a Giant Flaw in Human History

There is also this recent information indicating predynastic Egyptians used copper drill bits and bow drills, not CNC lathes as idiotically asserted in this thread. https://www.heritagedaily.com/2026/02/a-5300-year-old-bow-drill-rewrites-the-story-of-ancient-egyptian-tools/156988?

Shaped by ancient humans, 430,000-year-old wooden tools are the oldest ever found

In its detailed explanation ChatGPt-5 seemed to have given a contradictory repsonse. One would expect for hot astrophysical plasmas ionization would drive off the electrons, vacating the energy levels and preventing Pauli blocking. ChatGPT-5 gave the following polite correction.

Shaped by ancient humans, 430,000-year-old wooden tools are the oldest ever found

If you had as greater familiarity of the science your post becomes irrelevant using your own terminology from a previous response, in fact you would be able to differentiate between valid and invalid reasons as to why decay rates change. For the valid reasons the only decay rate process that...

Shaped by ancient humans, 430,000-year-old wooden tools are the oldest ever found

What exactly is the point you are trying make here? Experimental science is constantly evolving and a theory is only as good as the data produced. Ever since the first modern Pb-Pb radiometric dating of the Earth's age in 1956 using meteorites since the Earth's crust is continuously being...
