  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    *EO ONLY* Crucifix question

https://www.pravmir.com/the-face-of-christ-on-orthodox-crosses/ It's important to remember that Orthodox icons are theology in colour. They are not simply religious art but rather teach eternal truths of the Orthodox faith.

    *EO ONLY* Crucifix question

When Christ is depicted on the cross, He is dead, but He is not hanging limply but rather standing on the cross because He is victorious over death. He is also at peace. Christ is also not depicted with the crown of thorns on the crucifix, and the plaque often reads "King of Glory" instead of...

Disclosure Is Not Going To Be Fun & Games

If we discovered an alien civilisation and found it to be as prone to violence as our own, we would be very wise not to make contact. It certainly is a bit naive to be sending out feelers for contact on the assumption that any sufficiently advanced alien civilisation would necessarily be benign...

Another look at the moon landing.

You've missed the point. You are choosing photos that aren't proof of anything. You aren't choosing photos where the camera is pressed against the window to get the widest view of the horizon when there is no cloud cover obscuring it, nor are you providing details of the plane's elevation when...

Another look at the moon landing.

The horizon dropping below eye level demonstrates curvature away from you. It is much more apparent than the little bit of horizon your pictures show. You think pulling a few photos off the internet that barely show any of the horizon is proof of anything?

And of course many security cameras have infrared capability. When it gets too dark for the colour camera, infrared LEDs flood the area with invisible light and the camera switches to its infrared sensor.

No you didn't. He didn't ask how you could have balloons on a flat earth. Of course not. There is no fake globe earth.

Yep, just like your digital camera, which scans the CCD sensor in the back of your camera which is sensitive to visible light in the red, green and blue spectrum. The ABI has sensors sensitive to various spectrums ranging from visible to near infrared to deep infrared. At its core it is just a...

Another look at the moon landing.

Missed an opportunity to hold a bottle of water up to see the horizon had dropped below eye level.
