Johnson Amendment Dead: IRS says church leaders can endorse candidates to their flock without risking tax-exempt status. Other 501c3's still can't.

I think all churches should pay taxes. The world is watching and it's as churches get a free pass, the world picks up the tab. Shame on us

What Jesus Said About Adam and Eve

And again, His Church existed right along side all that, hiding in plain sight.

    Putting my dog to sleep.

It's never too late. A couple of days ago I broke down crying when I remembered Chelsea, my Blue Heeler I had to put down 20 some years ago. You and others have been of comfort to me. Jacks, I hope his as well as the other's posts have been of comfort to you.

You ever realize that a secular song is actually about a bible passage?

As for songs I've mentioned before, Hyway 61 has, what is clear to me on the song Desolation Row, "Across the Street They've nailed the curtain...: is about Jews in hiding keeping Passover. And, last verse appears to me to point at the horribly sad event of The Voyage of the Damned. And again...

    Putting my dog to sleep.

About 20 years ago I had to put down the sweetest, fattest Blue Healer mutt that ever lived. It broke my heart. I know how painful that can be. My heart goes out to you.

Did the sacrifice on the day of Atonement cover all Israel's or only those who believed that it would?

Perhaps other will view this as a stretch, but I can see the very process of salvation from the OT brings to mind that even the faith to believe unto salvation was given to each believer by The Father, revealing His Son to us. It was free like it was for the Jews on their Old Covenant Feast of...

What Jesus Said About Adam and Eve

I don't believe so. When I read that area of Scripture , I see that it is rich with types and shadows.

Exodus 30. One half shekels. Also describes it as having been made of fire. Everyone, age 20 and up had to pay just one half shekel.

Post 5 The heading of the thread, if you are referring to my 2nd comment. I hope this clear things up.

Did the sacrifice on the day of Atonement cover all Israel's or only those who believed that it would?

It's been my understanding that their smallest denomination of money was all that was required...that it was basically free. 2 days pay. In response to the original question, Scripture mentions many times that there were always Jews who looked for Jesus prior to Him revealing Himself.

Is the story of Lazarus and the rich man literal?

Haven't read anything new from you in a while. I think the death of the rich man was at hand before Jesus spoke in Luke. A lot of eyes would watching that, while over at Lazerus' grave, the brothers would be watching the resurrection of a dead man. Who approached the high priest later?
