    Could Peter have done otherwise?

I haven't anywhere suggested whether or not any animals go to heaven. Why did you post this? It has nothing to do with my post or the thread topic.

    Do you dare?

I don't think that's true. Eve had the breath of life, as did the land animals. Genesis 7:15 NKJV — And they [animals] went into the ark to Noah, two by two, of all flesh in which is the breath of life. Genesis 7:22 NKJV — All in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, all that...

I don't think that will fly, since Paul told the gentiles that sin entered the world through Adam. "World" must mean more than just Israel, or the solution to sin would also only apply to Israel.

I can't say whether I agree or not with what you are saying, because it doesn't fit with the topic of the thread anymore. Can you explain why you are talking about something that is unrelated? Or would you tell me how it is related? This has nothing to do with how long you've been studying.

Concerns or examples about post-exilic authorship of Genesis? I don't see how that fits with the topic. Maybe you are saying that we should discuss the scientific reasons for rejecting first-person sourcing to show that science is not a reason to reject the Genesis accounts as first-hand accounts.

But it was OK for the post-exilics to "create a narrative"? Do you ever read your own posts?

So you have a standard of hermeneutics for the other side. What is your standard of hermeneutics?

    Do you dare?

I like your question, but if he's daring enough to suggest something like that, why would it bother you?? Isn't it more important just to go with the theological implications, so if someone decides to add a piece of information like Adam's age when he sinned, surely it doesn't hurt the...

    Do you dare?

Are talking about any 20 year old man? Or Adam? How many dentists existed when Adam was only 20? And if someone says he's 20 but there is no indication of tooth wear, I would think it suspicious, even if it were Adam. What am I missing? Where do you get the idea that Adam had perfect teeth...

    Explain, please.

And it would be an incorrect conclusion. Adam lied, assuming he has been subject to the same things we are today. If he visited the dentist on day 8 and said he was 20, he would have lied.

    Do you dare?

He wasn't that old physically, according to your example, since the materials weren't that old. And the way we are put together requires new cells making up new organs that weren't in the clay. So your canoe analogy falls apart too quickly for such extrapolation. The best you might say is that...

    Do you dare?

The canoe is a day old. the materials are older. So Adam was less than a day old at the beginning of day 7. But he was made out of dirt that was 5 days old, which was made of water 6 days old. (Depending on how you understand the 6 days). All of that timing is based on an earth day and earth...
