  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

For those who are gamers, how do you handle Christian Ethics vs gaming?

My thoughts... if I were talking to myself. Cory, you read it there in God's word... which is for our instruction, so as to make us complete. 2 Timothy 3:16, 17 God does not leave us in doubt, uncertainty, or confusion, because according to Paul, the body of Christ.... I exhort you...

    Young earth vs Old earth?

How you arrived at an age of 5,786 is of interest to me, as well as the OP, and perhaps a few other. Would you mind sharing the mathematical equation (figures, or numbers, and calculations) with us? I'm not seeing any figures applied to Genesis 1:1, 2, and from Genesis 1:3-2:4, the days are...

For those who are gamers, how do you handle Christian Ethics vs gaming?

One thing I can tell you, as a long time gamer, is that games made in the 20th century are not very creative. The creative minds of the past, made, and still make the best games. So, if you want to find a game that's not a bundle of meaningless confusion... The only downside, is that most...

For those who are gamers, how do you handle Christian Ethics vs gaming?

I'm not going to take a look at the list, because I might be critical, and then your list might be blank. :D So, I'll let you decide... unless you really would like me to evaluate it from the scriptural perspective.

For those who are gamers, how do you handle Christian Ethics vs gaming?

They did say Jesus got his power from the ruler of the demons, so they did understand that magical powers were from spirits. That's interested, isn't it. It shows that people were aware of the angelic beings, and deliberately involved themselves with them, so that they could have personal gain.

I can't agree with you more. The way I see it, is this is Satan's world, and so, it is expected that it would be harder and harder to find content that is appropriate for people seeking to please God. Satan doesn't want anyone to please God! Do you hear families complaining about not finding...

For those who are gamers, how do you handle Christian Ethics vs gaming?

In other words, people think they are actually manipulating natural elements, by their own efforts and abilities, when in fact they are being manipulated, by the unseen forces... sort of like when they think they see aliens, but aren't aware that what they are seeing, is what they are being...

For those who are gamers, how do you handle Christian Ethics vs gaming?

That's an interesting bit of information. I've never heard about until now. I had to research it. Arcane magic, also known as learned magic, is a disciplined and scholarly pursuit that involves the study and mastery of magical principles through rigorous training and knowledge acquisition. It...

For those who are gamers, how do you handle Christian Ethics vs gaming?

I decided to do a search for video games for Christians, and the first I came across is this: https://gatezero.game/ The next, is TruPlay. I'm not sure of the content, but it shows that games are being made for those that believe in Jesus, and they have kids in mind, and learning.

For those who are gamers, how do you handle Christian Ethics vs gaming?

That's a good point. I watched two animated movies made in 3d, and there were really funny, and beautifully made I would say. There are indeed talented people out there who want to give people entertainment that is proper for Christians, and I appreciate that. I haven't come across any...

For those who are gamers, how do you handle Christian Ethics vs gaming?

This is far off topic, and I am not discussing that here. I'll just say the cross is not Christian, and Revelation refers to priests and kings in the kingdom rule of 1,000 years. However, that's totally off the rails of this thread. You might want to start a new thread, rather than derail this...

I don't see how royalty and clergy relate to the topic, but I would like to know what royalty and clergy you are referring to, because there are many, and I don't know what Bible or scripture you mean, because there are many of those as well.

:!?: Thank you for expressing how you view Christian ethics and gaming. I'll like to leave you with this article, and this scripture. My hands are clean from any blood spilled.

For those who are gamers, how do you handle Christian Ethics vs gaming?

God kills. Does that make him a God of killing? God destroys. Does that make him a God of destruction? I really wanted very much to please God, so rather than mock at God Galatians 6:7, by trying to justify my actions as righteous, I took his counsel to heart Psalm 97:10. I also knew it would...

    Making a Video Game

When I read the Bible, what I see is that none of the wars God waged had anything to do with the soldiers. ‘Not by valiant troops, nor by might, but in my spirit, says the Lord of hosts. Zechariah 4:6 In fact, God didn't even want them to think it was due to their mightiness that they won...
