  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    Sabbath Keeping and The Gospel

Oh I already knew you wouldn’t, because you can’t. That’s what happens when you can’t defend your theology. You can ask me anything you want about my theology and I’ll give you a straight answer every time.

    Sabbath Keeping and The Gospel

In every one of those passages except Acts 15 Paul was not gathering with believers on the sabbath he was preaching to Jews and Proselytes reasoning and persuading them to believe the gospel. In Acts 15 James specifically said “from ancient generations Moses has been preached in every...

    Sabbath Keeping and The Gospel

Well that would be like finding a passage in all of of scripture that plainly says that God commanded everyone since creation to observe the sabbath but you don’t seem to have any trouble making that claim. I think Exodus 24:4 saying that Moses wrote all that the Lord had spoken is pretty self...

    Sabbath Keeping and The Gospel

Well I’m pretty sure the word “then” in Hebrew means the same as I does in English. Are you aware that the word Deuteronomy actually means second law? Deuteros (second) Nomos (Law). And you still have the problem with them being in Moab in Deuteronomy 31 not at Mt Sinai like in Exodus 24. So you...

    Sabbath Keeping and The Gospel

Right so after asking 4 times you still refuse to answer the question. You're the one who keeps mentioning that the sabbath was made before sin but you won’t even say why that is significant.

    Sabbath Keeping and The Gospel

Exodus 24 happens before God had written on the stone tablets. That didn’t happen the first time until chapter 31 then technically it was Moses who wrote on the stone tablets the second time.

    Sabbath Keeping and The Gospel

No the problem is that Colossians 2:16 makes it crystal clear that the sabbath was in fact abolished along with the rest of the appointed times hence “He disarmed the ruler’s & authorities” in verse 15 right before Paul tells us that we’re not to be judged in regard to the appointed times...

    Sabbath Keeping and The Gospel

Lol what a cop out. You keep mentioning it and I’ve never asked you why you think it’s so significant. I’m betting it’s because I already posed a problem with your answer before you had a chance to give it when I mentioned green plants being commanded as food before sin so now you realize that...

    Sabbath Keeping and The Gospel

Yeah I understand that why haven’t you answered my question yet? Why are you stalling? Just spill it, what is the significance of the sabbath being made before sin?

    Sabbath Keeping and The Gospel

No that’s not how hermeneutics works Deuteronomy 31 is clearly after Exodus 24 and not even at the same location. You really do not care what the Bible actually says do you? You're so concerned about keeping the sabbath that you don’t even care about being honest about what the Bible actually says.

    Sabbath Keeping and The Gospel

Our hearts lead us astray in the new covenant when God has written His laws in our hearts? Why are you quoting from psalms when they didn’t have God’s laws written on their hearts?

    Sabbath Keeping and The Gospel

No please explain it to me

    Sabbath Keeping and The Gospel

Why are you quoted Deuteronomy when they were in Moab when we’re talking about Exodus 24 when they were at Mt Sinai?

    Sabbath Keeping and The Gospel

Oh so breaking the two most important commandments isn’t a sin then? They’re not in the Decalogue.

    Sabbath Keeping and The Gospel

I keep hearing sabbatarians mentioning that the sabbath was made before sin, what is the significance of this statement? The commandment to eat green plants was also given before sin and the dietary laws changed 3 times so what’s your point?
