However did we survive before social media, a time when kids started giving away all their (and the family's) personal info online, selling their souls for a 'like'. Now most everyone is doing it. With phones it became a contagion spreading through the entire family. We deserve the monster it has become and what it continually teaches AI as being 'normal', setting us up to be adjusted according to need. The inmates are not only running the asylum but teaching the asylum anything outside of it is where the insanity lies.
I also find it interesting that so many think stifling the speech of those who offend their sensibilities is the route to take. Reminds me of the little kids in school constantly running to teacher because someone looked at them the wrong way. But then it trains us to be more accepting of changes to all of our freedoms. Will we be so comfortable with that ideal when our money is being used in the same way as stifled speech, as even now what we may buy or sell or donate it to is now dictated to us as what is proper or allowed, all of course, for the good of society? Collect points for the privilege of accessing your now digital funds? How is that supply chain thing going in altering our expectations of the pampered lifestyle we once had, all while we are told it is up to us to save the world while only the rich profit from the movement?
We have a world today of elites with questionable mental stability who think their high financial status has somehow made them gods in the eyes of man, and as a result we will respect without daring question what their misguided brains put out. This while these self proclaimed saviours give themselves authority over us as a form of global government created to reward themselves. Hard to argue with those who can cut off access to anything, including our own finances, just to remind us why they are gods. To top it off these megalomaniacs are now trying to create AI in their own image to police and develop our thoughts and actions. More interesting are those who mindlessly follow along. Lemmings over a cliff (compliments of that old Disney film where movie trickery created an enduring lie). This garden of ours is yours to live within, but don't eat of the tree of free thought, for on that day you will surely realize you're being conned.
