  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Eyes to See

Matthew 20:30-31,34^
30 And behold, two blind men sitting by the road, when they heard that Jesus was passing by, cried out, saying, “Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David!”
31 Then the multitude warned them that they should be quiet; but they cried out all the more, saying, “Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David!”
33 They said to Him, “Lord, that our eyes may be opened.” 34 So Jesus had compassion and touched their eyes. And immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed Him.

May we as followers of Messiah Jesus so submit ourselves to His word, presence, and leading that we, too, have eyes trained to see with ever clearer discernment the reality of the liberty that the Son of God has given His children.

Matthew 6:22 (NKJV): “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light."

Matthew 9:16 (NKJV): "But blessed are your eyes for they see..." and
Proverbs 4:20-22 (NKJV)
20 My son, give attention to my words;
Incline your ear to my sayings
.
21 Do not let them depart from your eyes;
Keep them in the midst of your heart;

22 For they are life to those who find them,
And health to all their flesh.
