  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

(for when celebrating the first coming of Messiah Jesus) One still small voice, from paper, leapt Into action, brought life to a dead spirit. “For God so loved”--how could it be?* A flicker of hope within self, to all around. Really, so personal? Can such goodness endure? But those thoughts...

Written after reading Luke 2:8-20, about the birth of Messiah (“the Christ”) Jesus. I imagined a hymn tune for it. While shepherds fires dispersed the wolves, The heavens opened sky, Then angels sang, explained the spark That brightened human eyes. They told of how a babe was born, Which bade...
1 John 4:19 (NKJV) We loved Him because He first loved us. Jude 1:1-2 (ESV) 1…to those who are called, beloved in God the Father and kept for Jesus Christ: 2 May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you. Jude 1:21 (ESV) …keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord...
(suggestion: read Hebrews 4, which is about entering into God's Sabbath rest) Let me rest from all considerations Which come knocking on the door of peace. Sabbath Day reflects emancipation From the cares this world may bring. Breaking bread, op’ning the Word With the Brethren, and family...
A Gospel song, written after reading these Scripture passages this morning... 2 Timothy 2:10 “ I endure everything for the sake of God’s chosen” (The Voice) 2 Timothy 2:15 “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of...

Psalm 34:1-2 (1) I will bless Adonai at all times; his praise will always be in my mouth. (2) When I boast, it will be about Adonai; the humble will hear of it and be glad. (CJB) Are there styles of music in the church that make us wary? How about the mannerisms of some as they praise or sing...

Lord, “all things are your servants”. ^ Brethren, “all things are yours”! ^^ The above borrows from the two footnoted Scripture references. The beauty of looking at these verses is that whereas in Psalms creation is described as serving God’s purposes, the Corinthians reference describes all...

What a merciful Author, Our names are written in The Book! By faith we see the red receipt, “Jesus paid it full”. Some transactions are just rumored, Others vague by age, But this one is historical, Touches us today. In the Book, (2x) In the Book, (2x) Penned before earth’s foundation, At...
Psalm 84:5-10 (NKJV) 5 Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, Whose heart is set on pilgrimage. 6 As they pass through the Valley of Baca, They make it a spring; The rain also covers it with pools. 7 They go from strength to strength; Each one appears before God in Zion. 8 O Lord God of...
Hebrews 12:1-2 (NKJV) 12 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith...

Charged “to tell no one”,* Impossible as healings: holy dissonance. Made well by this trust, Now asked to arrest our lips? Oh, mute dilemma! So, captured by love, He told all to all with “Hey! “Guess what Jesus said? “He said, ‘Be made clean.’” When asked “So He heals lepers?”, The healed one...
One way to appreciate the “Great Commission”, is to see what the Good News is, initially through the eyes of the unconverted. Ready? It is too good to be true. Whether heard from the lips of a Christian, seen as the snippet of a Bible verse on a church marquee, or read in a novel quoting...
In response to what I'd have to describe as a person locked in on prospering materially as a Christian (although to be fair, spiritually as well), I pointed out 1 Timothy 6:8 (bolded here): 6 Now godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is...
Some have speculated that communication in Heaven might well be via thought. However, there are enough biblical references to give credence to the expectation that verbal communications do now exist there and will in the future. Perhaps also some "thought-talk" will be there for the saints as...
Blessed Divine Love, Greatest gift, bestowed in staggering simplicity: For there was A sentence over us, a Cross; A Sacrifice, then doubt sealed by man; A stone rolled, where, aside, Jesus posed; A woman scurrying back To utter the timeless “Risen!”; Christ seen, listened to, observed in...
