“I have an amazing relationship with God and I’m very confident in him. When I first became a Christian, I was coming off of methamphetamines, first of all, and I had a massively powerful encounter where God was revealing himself to me. And so those two sides of the coin – coming off of meth and a powerful encounter – I didn’t know how to react.
“I was overzealous, I was obnoxious with my faith, and it took me a while to bring it down.”
Other members of the band at some point have expressed their religious beliefs. However, the band has not labeled itself a religious band and does not wish to be addressed as such.

So that was real – that was very real. But yes, I think I went too far with it. And I got obsessed with it, just like I was obsessed with drugs. And I had to come out of that and find normalcy because there’s nothing worse than a freakin’ irritating religious person just shoving it down your throat – there’s nothing worse than that.”
In an interview with The 700 Club and guitarist Arvizu, he spoke about his faith, stating:
“When I accepted Christ, I was like, ‘Alright, I’m gonna pray to some of these things that I’m a slave to.’ It went in steps and I was set free with no withdraws. From the weed to the pills to everything, I stopped.”
Other members of Korn have also expressed their faith in God, however, some have mentioned that they do not subscribe to any form of organized religion.
