A Christian is one who has been baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Period. He may not be practicing, he may be a sinner as all have sinned and come short. But baptism is what makes one Christian. There are good and bad Christian’s; practicing and non-practicing Christian’s.
Believing in your heart and confessing that God raised Jesus from the grave, is how you are saved. It has nothing to do with baptism by water. Go to the cross and the two criminals that hung on the other two crosses with Him, only one of them were saved, can you guess which one? We are all sinners and have not departed from our sin against the Lord. There are those who have fallen away but there is no such who calls himself practicing or non-practicing. You either are or you are not. You are in Christ or anti-Christ.

Being baptized does not make one a Christian. Some people are baptized as infants and did not have any choice in the matter. That doesn’t make them Christian. Being a Christian is a choice. If Elon was a Christian, he would have no problem openly and publicly admitting it.
