The Power of Film (2024) is a six-part series which combines footage from some of the most acclaimed and beloved movies of all time along with Suber’s own thoughts on why these films had such cultural and emotional impact on audiences, both upon their original release and still today." I especially appreciated the second part dealing with "trapped". Nearly all memorable stories, whether told in movies or in real life, are about traps. The most memorable are generally about the loss, sacrifice, and ultimate triumph the central character must engage in to escape their trap. We are all always trapped. It is a life theme and movies depict the variations for us. But as I was watching I though about how the only real escape from entrapment is transcendence. Toward the end of the episode that is recognized.
