    The God of Islam

My religious background has ranged from being raised Catholic in my youth. Then I became an atheist and then Christian and then atheist etc. All said and done my religions beliefs have gone back and forth between being Christian and agnostic throughout my life. Since 2000 I was mostly Christian...

    Cellphone radiation can cause cancer

Quite true. We're giving ourselves radiation on a continuous basis.

Can I be Christian and Not Believe the Bible?

There is really no way to demonstrate that the events in the Bible actually happened. That follows from the fact that just because we have a collection of books which we call "The Bible" it doesn't mean that the material in them hasn't changed in the last few thousand years. I can easily tell...

    Cellphone radiation can cause cancer

I find that impossible to believe. For purposes of determining the strength of the electromagnetic (EM) field inside tissue, human tissue can be modeled as water. When that's done its found that the magnitude of the EM field from cell phones is so small as to be negligible.

A finely tuned universe that points to a God.

There are too many posts here for me to read them all before I reply so I'm starting from scratch from the first one, i.e. That doesn't imply the existence of God though. You mentioned that Paul Davies agrees that the universe is sort of "tuned" for life. I agree. Does that imply the existence...

    time dilation???

There's a problem with your stretching chain idea. There are a set number of links in the chain and each link corresponds to a sprocket. I think this contributes to making the problem unrealistic and therefore without a solution. I'm not 100% certain though.

    Ask a physicist anything. (8)

Practical applications of quantum mechanics are everywhere that you look and in almost everything that you touch. Quantum mechanics was used to understand and thus create electronic devices and things like lasers which have a large number of applications such as laser eye surgery, laser surgery...

Galaxies from the future seen now?

Actually it's the opposite. When we look out into space we're looing back in time. This is because it takes a long time for the light to get here from where he originated.

Is it true that Christians mistrust science?

In my opinion it's quite incorrect to assert that a particular Christian is for or against something merely because they're a Christian. When I was a Christian I had no problem with Stem Cell research of any kind. It was and still is my opinion that life doesn't not begin at conception. It's not...

Flat Earth question for atheists and christians, just try and answer this

That's quite untrue. Especially since you're not stating with what that speed is relative to. Please forgive me for saying so (I don't wish to appear rude whatsoever) but you don't appear to understand something very important about physics that any physicist learned as a freshman and knows...

Flat Earth question for atheists and christians, just try and answer this

It's not merely NASA that says that. Every physicist on Earth knows that to be true. The atmosphere is at rest relative to the surface of the Earth. When the speed of a plane is given it's specified relative to the rest frame of the atmosphere, i.e. with respect to the surface of the Earth...

Flat Earth question for atheists and christians, just try and answer this

What you feel isn't the plane/train/car (PTC) moving but the irregularities that PTC encounters on its journey. If you were in a plane which gave a 100% smooth ride and had 100% perfect sound proofing then it'd be impossible to detect your motion relative to anything else.
