I'm in the both camp. It's clear to me that over population and materialism has impacted the health of the biosphere in a negative way. It's also clear to me that the Earth is a very beautiful and full of blessings for the senses.

As an avid gardener, it's clear that change is happening. The increase in water usage, the timing of flowering, the timing of fall leaves, the increase of smoke from forest fires, an increase of dying trees, the longer and more frequent hot days are all signs I see that it's getting hotter...

I'm ONLY speaking for myself, and that's having God a reality in my life. I take your example of Matthew 11:29 as I put the suggestion into my heart. For myself, that's not a "belief". It's doing something. And in that doing something is what births having God as one's reality. That's not anarchy.
