I don't believe this at all. Politics are for worldly people. Not Gods people. Also if this was true, then the Native Americans wouldn't have been raped, murdered and had their land stolen. I can't believe believe God would have picked Hitler or Trump. All man made craziness.
There is a spiritual war going on .... God is in control ... He will permit unpleasant things to go on .... His is to a greater end ... we know how this all ultimately ends ... the war has been won and we are waiting for Jesus to return and pick up all the survivors. God has perfect righteous judgment and all the innocent lives that have been taken will one day be be resurrected unto glory and will live again ... in a perfect world that God will create.
Leaders will come and go ... but it is the Lord that will straighten everything out. The atrocities that happen in this world and the people who cause them will indeed see justice one day ... make no mistake about it.
I don't think it is wrong for Christians to vote, God allowed "kings" because the people asked for it ... also told them what would happen .... like I said .... regardless of our votes .... God is in control.
Romans 13:1-2
Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and t
he authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.
In Hosea 13:9-11, God rebukes Israel for rejecting Him as their king. Notice that God says they had asked the judges for a king. The prophet Samuel was also a judge (1 Samuel 3:20; 7:15). They had asked for a king, and God gave them a king. In verse 11, God reveals that this was not His choice. Yet God appointed him and established his throne.
It is your destruction, O Israel,
That you are against Me, against your help.
Where now is your king
That he may save you in all your cities,
And your judges of whom you requested,
“Give me a king and princes”?
I gave you a king in My anger
And took him away in My wrath. Hosea 13:9-11 (NASB)
King Saul proved to be an evil king. Most of the kings of the northern Kingdom of Israel and the southern Kingdom of Judah were evil kings. The people of Israel or the leaders of Israel selected their kings without consulting God. He allowed their choices. Yet He granted these men the authority to rule as kings.
Yeah ... God will allow evil rulers.
