"Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Art thou not it that hath cut Rahab, and wounded the dragon?" - Isaiah 51:9

Here we see the call for the LORD Yahweh to awake; that His arm awake, that is, that He take action. Of course God is "awake" for He never sleeps. "Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep." (Psalm 121:4)

We are to remember what God has done in the ancient days, and in the generations of old. In fact we can remember more now than they did in Isaiah's day, because God has moved mightily in the approximately 2,700 years since Isaiah, most mightily in the life of Christ and by His resurrection, the defeat of Satan on the cross, the Church being established and spread throughout the world. We can also look at the prophecies of Daniel, and the defeat of Babylon according to Isaiah's prophecy, and Israel returning from Babylon, and then in 1948 becoming a nation.

But what of this "hath cut Rahab, and wounded the dragon?" - Most say this is an epithet for Egypt, and the following verse would seem to imply it's referring to Israels deliverance via the red sea, when it says, "Art thou not it which hath dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over?" (Isaiah 51:10)

But there are many, including myself who believe this is a dual message, and that Rahab and the dragon not only refers to Egypt, but to a time even more ancient than the Exodus, when Lucifer and the rebel angels were cast out of heaven, and that they once inhabited a planet referred to as Rahab, and the "Dragon" none other than the same serpent and Satan mentioned in Revelation 12.

We find things like this if we do a search on the topic:
"Q:I have had several people recently ask me about the missing Planet Rahab once being the headquarters of Satan that God destroyed. I know there are several verses that could refer to this but have a hard time believing this. If you have time I would appreciate your opinion.
A:
The name Rahab appears in the Old Testament a total of 11 times. Five times it refers to the Rahab of Jericho who hid the 2 spies, was the mother of Boaz, and appears in the Lord’s genealogy. The other six times it does not. Some believe these other references refer to a 10th planet, also called Planet X, that was once part of our Solar system and that Satan and his followers inhabited. People disagree as to whether it was originally our 5th or 6th planet, but supposedly it was judged along with Earth and Mars at the time of Satan’s rebellion in the gap between Genesis 1 :1 & 1:2. They also disagree as to whether it was completely destroyed leaving the asteroid belt as a memorial or whether it was sent spinning out into space or a combination of the two. Proponents of the partial destruction theory say that the remnant of the planet Rahab can be seen again in the Eastern sky, and that NASA has known about it for 30 years but isn’t saying anything. They believe that God will use the planet Rahab to effect some of the judgments of Revelation.
All this is wild conjecture developed out of a study combining the Apocryphal Book of Enoch with the application of ELS (Equi-distant Letter Sequencing), commonly known as the Bible Codes. If we’re as close to the end as I think we are, it won’t be long until we know whether the Rahab theories are truth or fiction."

There are many others that hold this view, and for me, I believe it, especially when I see artifacts on Mars, and we know Mars lost it's water and its atmosphere. This also shows how even more powerful is Yahweh whose arm was outstretched in ancient times: not only parting the red sea which is a powerful miracle enough, but by defeating 1/3 of the angels in heaven, destroying their outpost, and smashing a planet, while completely rearranging another. We can also consider the flood of Noah, which is a very powerful miracle, which I think is tied in with Mars losing its water, because you had the sons of God coming down to the daughters of men, you had the giants, the nephilim, then the earth so corrupt God had to destroy everything by a flood, while a planet Rahab would be a base for the sons of God, and would explain why Egypt and other ancient civilizations were so obsessed with "sky gods" and the planets.

Anyways, for me, this verse speaks very greatly of Gods power and what He has done in the ancient times, and He doesn't change, He can still work in this mighty power today, and will also in the future when He creates the new heavens and earth.

Amen.

Mr. Spock, take us to warp 7, and set a course for planet Rahab. Raise shields, and keep us on yellow alert.

Well, I am not sure about planets that are of Satan's domain within our solar system. But one planet is hellish, which is Venus. There are also exoplanets outside of our planetary system that are covered with hellish landscapes, such as volcanoes: Canadian astronomers discover new Earth-like planet potentially covered in volcanoes

They are not there any more, if that was the case they used other planets. They were cast to earth and that's why Satan is now the prince of the power of the air as in Ephesians 2, and there are principalities and powers over nations like the prince of Persia in Daniel that withstood one of Gods angels for 21 days. And I think he's still operating and that's why Iran is the way Iran is!

Check out this stuff on Mars, photos taken by Curiosity Rover at bottom of my post:

Here's some more:

Jupiter's moon Io is the most volcanically active in our solar system
