So some of us know the story of the illegals who enter our country and then choose to go by bus, at the taxpayers' expense, to whatever city they choose and they choose Chicago a lot of the time (maybe not surprisingly?)

And the residents of that city and many others are fed up with govt money being diverted from American citizens to take care of these gate crashers (my term).

Some people on the net don't even know one thing about this story... Fox has always been in the forefront of reporting this story..

WOW that news report was very informative -
Chicago is seeing that "elections have consequences" as Obama said.
yeh, can you spell Short-sighted?

sigh

Sometimes I wonder why certain people always end up in control.. governors and etc while really intelligent people who have common sense

well, I guess they have so much common sense, they can't fathom running for office.. :) which I get that.. but still

No wonder we like Trump so much. That guy is pragmatic.

At point 1.20 the Black woman (speaking for many Black voters, I am sure) says she doesn't even know why Biden is going to Chicago

No one does. It's just what elite Ds do to try to get power or keep it. They couldn't care less about these hurting people... who were ignored until the looming election of 2024

I am guessing you have not read the parable " Lazarus and the rich man", by Jesus Christ of Nazareth, who had sympathyfor these so called " gate crashers", as you say.

Yet they have elected Democrats consecutively since the 1930's

They re elected JB Pritksker as governor.

To quote Jerry Seinfeld: "that's a shame"

I've noticed this since the Trump admin that minorities/ women are slowly leaving the Democratic party. I believe the D is so hyper-focused on immigration that they are alienating minority Democrat-American constituents. I bet the homeless Americans in NY are mad because they live on the streets when immigrants are put in hotels. Transgenderism probably upset the women in their party.

Jesus of Nazareth said to "render to Caesar that which is Caesars" - He was in favor of the rule of law. We have legal immigration as it turns out. The idea that Jesus only wants criminal/illegal immigration cannot be supported in the Bible nor can it be that Jesus wants everyone to move to the US.

The only "law" Jesus Christ of Nazareth taught was the " law of love". Beyond rendering to government there is His Law.

‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

His Law "to "render to Caesar that which is Caesars" -- allows us to execute murderers, put criminals in Jail etc.

Or we could simply dismiss them all and claim that those sorts of laws are not loving toward the law-breaker.

Not many Christians go for "no laws, no enforcement let chaos reign" as if Jesus "wants it that way". I think we would all agree on that point.

Rom 13
there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves. 3 For rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil. Do you want to have no fear of authority? Do what is good and you will have praise from the same; 4 for it is a servant of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a servant of God, an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil. 5 Therefore it is necessary to be in subjection, not only because of wrath, but also for the sake of conscience. 6 For because of this you also pay taxes, for rulers are servants of God, devoting themselves to this very thing. 7 Pay to all what is due them: tax to whom tax is due; custom to whom custom; respect to whom respect; honor to whom honor.

Luke 16:19?

I fail to see what that has to do with this topic.

There was no gate crasher in that parable Jesus told

What a joke!

You think human beings know anything about REAL (objective) LOVE?

Catholics who look @ a Crucifix often and love the Church know about it... and all those who are deep into Christ.. problem is: most people, the ones I know or hear about do not seem to be deep into Jesus... which is not easy, I admit. But in any case, this is why our world is a total moral train wreck

yeh, we can't even help our own people but the Ds bring these ... God knows who.. into the picture. Good one!

we spend tax money on the stupidest things, but somehow, there's never money to help house the homeless. And there ARE a few scriptures that tell us to do that... Isaiah something or other specifically says to house the homeless. Then there is Lk 16:19

So we can't even do that (no, WON't do that) but here we are throwing open the gates of our country to people who don't respect our border laws... and why should they when the president doesn't?

bang head

It is the left these days who want endless wars AND don't know how to pull out of one without getting Americans killed
You do realize G Bush destabilized the Middle East by attacking Iraq and we are still dealing with the effects today.

From my best information, he should not have done that, although there was some hope for a time that Iraq could be democratized and people of good will were working on that goal.

Other than that, I don't know as much as military people do on this, don't claim to be an expert on Iraq

Then there is this that is more important:

Trump is against foreign war involvement. biden is actually prolonging the war in Ukraine and the one in Israel with his make-no-sense policies.

For whatever reason (in part petrol dollars) Bush did it, I think it was political also because a lot of Republicans were upset because his dad didn't do it including me. We also thought we could democratize China and look at us now. I blame American hegemony for the conflicts.
