Columbia prez must go: She’s now privileging antisemitic protesters over all other students

Since she has, she clearly needs to go — and that can only be the start of rooting out the antisemitic radicalism infesting the school.
Note that the “protesters” have only grown worse these last few days: They’re now openly pro-Hamas, and telling campus Jews that they’ll be next.

We cannot allow another 1930s Germany here in America.

Man, you are Godwin-ing hard on this. Literally none of this is anything like 1930's Germany. These are 2 ethnic groups that have been at each other's throats for literally thousands of years yelling at each other. This isn't the government imposing rules and regulation on one group. I know you think that's what's happening but it's not.

“There’s so many young Jewish people who are, like, a vital part” of the protests, said Grant Miner, a Jewish graduate student at Columbia who belongs to a student coalition calling on Columbia to divest from companies connected to Israel.

That group said in a statement, “We are frustrated by media distractions focusing on inflammatory individuals who do not represent us,” and added that the group’s members “firmly reject any form of hate or bigotry.”

This article is misleading. No need to fuel 1930's Germany rhetoric. This is an article from the campus newspaper, Columbia Spectator , that says the complete opposite.

It's just like 1930s Germany, Jews are educated and successful and once again others are trying to wipe them out. There was a significant meeting of minds during World War II with a large faction of Muslim Palestinians and the Nazis, joining together in their common cause of eliminating Jews. Hamas is not an isolated group, they are funded by Iran just like other jihadists who wish to wipe out Israel. A conservative Rabbi at Columbia told the students they are not safe on campus. Columbia made the wrong decision by calling for remote learning instead of bring in law enforcement to protect the Jewish students and to rid the campus of those who preach genocide.

The crisis is the student's refusal to accept the narrative and opposing it. The real problem is the protests are cross cultural and happening globally. In every instance Jews have participated. Unification is the elephant in the room. If they were standing for the other you wouldn't hear a thing.

Why doesn't the right care when Far Right players pull this exact stuff?

Funny that there ARE Jewish people on campus who feel, PERFECTLY safe. It's almost like it's a "perception" issue.

There are some on the far left who have allied with radical Muslims within the Democratic Party. What they have in common is really a hatred of the governments of the United States and Israel.

Maybe the Republican Party will court “radical Muslims” to help them with their fight to save America from all of this free-speech we’ve been experiencing?

Advocating terrorism or threatening people is not free speech. The Speaker of the House is quoted below:

“This is dangerous. This is not the First Amendment, this is not free expression,” Johnson said.
He later added: “If this is not contained quickly and if these threats and intimidation are not stopped, there is an appropriate time for the National Guard.”

Oh? A politician has an opinion?
An opinion that the government should use force to stifle speech?

Advocating terrorism is the definition of free speech.

Why can't right wingers recognize what free speech is when they don't like the speech?

I know of a priest who was arrested and put in jail for praying outside of an abortion clinic. We know the Justice Department will launch a raid on the house of a peaceful pro-life activist or go after moms who speak up at school boards or anyone close to Trump. Freedom of speech is important, and the pro-Hamas people do not have any right to take away the rights of Jews. None. Hate crimes are illegal in this country, and once again we see the double standard of justice because they are not being charged with hate crimes.

It's a hate crime, a violation of U.S. law, to interfere with the rights of the Jewish students to attend class, and that is what is happening. Since no one has been charged with a hate crime obviously we have a two-tiered justice system.

I thought you'd actually have to PERPETRATE a crime for it to be a hate crime.

I never see any of the Gravy Seals or other far right groups who hate Jewish people get arrested for it.

So why should these protestors?

Because they have violated the law. Just because someone is a Democrat or leans that way does not mean he or she should be exempted from the law.
