The heart often refers to the inner spirit of man.10 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Deuteronomy 30:
Ezekiel 11:6 The LORD your God will circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your descendants, so that you may love him with all your heart and with all your soul, and live.
Ezekiel 18:19 I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh.
Jeremiah 4:31 Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die, people of Israel?
