Convert to Christianity from Jodo-Shinshu (last sect I practiced in), and other Mahayana Buddhist sects. Born into a non-practicing Lutheran/Baptist family. Discovered Buddhism in the Army when I was 17. Practiced Buddhism to some extent while running the gamut of "new age" beliefs and cultish type things most of my adult life. Jesus called me as early as 1970(?). Didn't pick up on the call, or begin my Christian journey in earnest until around 2004 while discussing religion with a good friend at work on a regular basis. Had a strong conversion experience in January 2005, leading me to Catholic Church through the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA). Was brought into full communion with the Church on Easter Vigil of 2006. My wife, (who was atheist) came with me into the Church, and we are both happy and committed Christians.
Besides God and family, my loves are Music, Scripture, History,Philosophy, Apoolgetics, Theology, and I love movies, and some fiction and novels.
