Hunter S. Thompson - judging from the only book of his that I've read, "Fear and Loathing in LV" - is awesome. Definitely up there as one of my favourites. The movie's pretty good too.

I was thinking about this....you know the book 'Journey to the centre of the earth,' by Jules Verne? It doesn't involve time travel....but, you're able to see a lot of stuff concerning prehistoric times...I was not sure if you were interested in the actual concept of time travel OR the concept...
