I was a school teacher for 19 years, and for 10 years after that I was a victims adviser at my local District Court, specialising in assisting domestic violence victims.
Now that I am retired from my full-time career. I am working gentleman's hours at a community budgeting assistance organisation three days a week.
I am the senior elder of my Presbyterian church (an example of the rotten apple rising to the top!
Computers, fishing, guitar and banjo playing, country and mountain gospel music.
My theology is a combination of Pentecostal and Puritan Theology. The Puritan gives me the solid foundation of my faith, and the Pentecostal adds the adventure and excitement of serving Christ.
I am married with two adult daughters. My youngest is a qualified gym trainer who is a power lifter and has got me into going to the gym and doing power lifting. I have done two local competitions so far, and deadlifted 120kgs, which is an achievement for someone my age.
We have three cats, Daisy, Mittengrabbers, and Reizo. They have quite different personalities, and have become members of the family. Mitten is always on my knee, and Reizo, the Burmese climbs up into my bed and licks my nose at 7am! Daisy is a bit reclusive except when small bits of cheese are available to her.
Update (April 2022): Daisy and Mitten have now sadly passed away, and Reizo is the sole survivor. I am now happily retired, and have moved to Christchurch, NZ, to be closer to my younger daughter.
