Oklahoma First State to Fund Religious Charter School

Their failure to address that point is certainly a ringing endorsement for state churches. But I think the problem will be with the Oklahoma Constitution: SECTION II-5. Public money or property - Use for sectarian purposes. No public money or property shall ever be appropriated, applied...

They don't have to be real for the people who believe them to designate a holy site. That part's easy, anyone can do it. One expects that site to exist within some pollity. What is the government of the pollity supposed to do about it? We're talking about places where events are supposed to...

Southern Baptist Convention to vote on expelling churches with female pastors

According to you (me too BTW), but it did then, to them. That was their doctrine and they preached it. They saw their error, (in 1995) and corrected it. But what are they preaching now? Have they got it right this time? It depends on how you wrest them.

Oklahoma First State to Fund Religious Charter School

The 14th Amendment has been held by the courts to apply the 'establishment' clause of the 1st Amendment to state governments as well as the federal government . See Everson v. Board of Education (1947)

There is no reliable evidence that Abraham even existed. There is some evidence that King David may have been a real person, but there is no reliable evidence of his ancestry. Do you know the difference between a race, a culture, a religion and a nationality?

Oklahoma First State to Fund Religious Charter School

Some people think they are. Using statement funds to support sectarian religious indoctrination can be seen as an 'establishment of religion' under the 1st Amendment.

SC Senate Passes Bill Banning Affirmative Care For Minors

I think you have mentioned "choice" before. What choice is that? The only choice they really have is whether to try to be "out" or not.

SC Senate Passes Bill Banning Affirmative Care For Minors

The question is, who decides? OK, I get it. Unless you decide, nothing but linguistic chaos will ensue.
