Welcome, I would say maybe take some time off from religion. Seek the holy spirit with joy and happiness spend time with God. No sect or religion brings peace of mind. Christ did not start a religion he started a revolution of the soul. But this is my view and thats not much. Blessing and peace

I was a fundamentalist Christian at one time so I read the Bible all the time just never followed it. Once I broke out of the cage that was my Christianity I felt free to follow Christ in a more direct way. But that is just me everyone is different.

That's a great question. It' hard to say because every Christian group seems to kick the next out for holding this or that view. I kicked myself out save everyone the time lol sorry for the weak answer but it's 5:00am

My view is follow Jesus read the gospels meditate on God and seek the holy spirit. Then walk in love and light help the poor and weak try your best to be kind and gentle. No religion or group can bring you peace only Christ. Just my view.

What worked for me was reading the four gospels and sitting in silence for long periods of time in meditation and letting the holy spirit work. But just don't read go out and do something with the teaching of Christ.
