Hi all. The Lord has helped me overcome religious chaos in some way. I thank the Lord very much.

for the web block in my local place I often can not visit CF. So I cherish every chance here.

I'm feeling overwhelmed and honestly misunderstood.
i feel a bit disillusioned by my church as they are not seeming to care that life is difficult after being laid off and then getting my arm injured but still have to find a job and the stress of that, they're a good church but I'm not seen by them. not sure why. so yep feeling exhausted by life today.

I’m stuck in sun, felt horribly depressed for as long as I remember and genuinely feel like prayer is pointless at this moment. I’m stuck and I don’t know what to do. I feel like I’ve wasted my whole life. I’m 42 and going nowhere. Why be born to just feel miserable constantly.

Down. I wish people would stop saying "Don't compare yourself to others." It's something everyone does all the time. I know it's well-meaning, but telling someone to suspend behavior that is simply part of human nature is not helpful.

After reading you post. Something must be fuel it’s coming back. I feel if it doesn’t seem right to you that you could take those thoughts captive and be free of them. 2Cor 10:3-5 . They are only thoughts and don’t define who you are in Christ. Fight them. Take them captive.

What causes the funks is embracing the thoughts when they try come in & not going to God for help

Once you’re in one, it’s hard to get out, even trying to surround yourself in him. That's why it comes & goes when you're in one, b/c you're trying to find security in him.

have you ever tried to take thoughts captive or prayed about it? I keep above water pretty consistently by doing this. Sure keeps more on an even keel. Less ups and down, handling things better. It returns you to that secure place.

I feel as though life just isn’t fun. Happy. Or exciting. I tend to think God doesn’t like the idea of me having any fun. Instead it’s like life is an endless therapy session where you never know when the therapist (God) is in. But that’s only about 25% of the experience. 50% is like, obnoxious adults being your parents for you (without your consent) and they never listen to or care about you. The other 25% is being ignored and lonely and asking why!

There's a season for everything according to scripture. I think God's trying to teach us delayed gratification. It'll be lots better after He comes for us!
