We're now the "old fogies" of course no one listens to us! I remember when we didn't trust anyone over 30.

In the Church, the elders were to steady the ship...

That is long gone...

Appointing young church leadership has been seriously unwise.

Having spent a while replying to posts (I haven't been on GE for a little while) I'm finding that stringing a coherent sentence together is getting harder!
Me too. I don’t need to talk so much. Better to be quiet (silent) and be thought a fool, than to open up your mouth and let them know for sure. I like to talk, I need to talk sometimes. But I just can’t all the time. This is the bottom line for me. Just a little maintenance of the situation.

Have you ever met a truly quiet person? There are many awkward moments involved. Sometimes I call myself ‘hi/bye’. When I try to talk, I can write a little, you see what happens. It opens up a can of worms, a world of evil, like demons coming in and the thoughts are nowhere and everywhere.

I see how much good extroverts and type a’s can do. I am willing but don’t perform on such a high level. I am just a self-made introvert. I always want to be a talker, but I’m just not. We’ve had plenty good conversations and will hopefully have plenty more. I’m just not in my element.

Yeah and slower is better @Quasiblogo .

...to not talk back to the TV commentator.

...to not smile that I am one of the few who obey speed limits on the interstate.
I not only talk back --- I yell! I live alone and no one minds if I yell.

I like less the ADD-inducing menu boards in the fast food, “restaurants”—even less when, in a car, and I’m expected to be a drive-by “selecter”. I feel like saying “Just show me the beef!” Is it that it’s harder, or harder to be patient? Well, either way…

I’m less empathetic with peoples’ complaining about “slow “ systems. Pray, read, tell a joke, go get the real mail while your PC, Smart TV, modem, router, etc. reboots—or your hearing aids are charging! And thank God we even have such conveniences.

Yeah all those things are so necessary in today’s on line presence. It’s actually hard for me too to go to macds , so I don’t very often. Driving by not so convenient struggling in your car when your hungry. Kind of a trial.

Heres one for ya, No one as fearless as anonymous. It’s true of me. That’s a quote and pearl of wisdom for today.

No one will take me to Macds. I haven't been in years. Once in a while I miss it.

Yard work is almost impossible! I'm going to pay someone to get rid of a tree and maybe a volunteer honeysuckle.
I’ll do your mowing, if not hotter than 70F and a water break every 15 minutes!
