  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Miracles: The Listener & The Gifted is a book by Terri Blackstock that completely stole my heart when I read it. I only read the first book in the book, The Listener, but I would love to create a RPG based on this. Here's the description of The Listener:

"Something strange happened to Sam Bennet this morning. He is hearing the thoughts of other people. The waitress at the coffee shop. The elevator operator in Sam's office building. His wife, his secretary, even his pastor. Simply by looking at them, Sam can hear their hearts' deepest needs. Is he going crazy... or about to experience a miracle beyond his wildest dreams?"

Now, of course, we can use different names and scenarios if you wish. I prefer it, actually. If you haven't read this book yet then I don't want to spoil it for you if you plan on it, so I'm not going to give out any more information unless you ask for it. I will then send you a PM with the general details of the book. We can then come here to discuss further.
