• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

God bless you all.

I just wanted to post about a guy at my school whom is seeing impaired.

He can't see. I don't know if he is 100% blind or just legally. He walks around with a stick and I have seen him run into things before, so I am thinking he is fully blind. Anyhow, let me get to the part that really blesses me.

A lot of people use their disabilities as an excuse... This young man rides the bus, goes to school, and then some. You know, I don't have any disabilities that are major (other than a heart murmur... :| ), but I think of how sometimes I make excuses for not going to class... "I have a headache", "I have cramps".. and here is this young man doing everything, treating his disability as if there were none. I so admire that. Everyone could learn something from that.

I admire those of you who don't let your disabilities anger you or make you bitter. I admire those of you who do what you want to do, regardless of the disability. I have seen so many become angry at the world and angry at God because of things that may be a MINOR setback. So, I really admire and thank God that you all look past that and continue to do what you have to do. God bless you all.

I hope this doesn't sound condescending, but I sincerely mean it from the bottom of my heart. You guys are awesome and strong and wonderful examples of what it means to live.
