    Don't know if this has already been said, but Prayer rules should be assigned to catechumen. No amount of Church History or Orthodox theological studies will replace an active prayer life.

    Are titles important to Lutherans? Do Lutherans use these titles when addressing people? Mr./Mrs., Dr., PhD, Pastor, President, Judge, etc; and yet "St." is where the line is drawn. Are secular titles are honored, but not the ecclesial ones?

    Do Lutherans consider Luther to be a canonized Saint? (IE: St. Martin Luther) If not, then why not? Do they just not believe in a communion of saints? If so, that by itself would disqualify Lutheranism from being a historical faith.

    We've had more catechumen join in the last year than the entirety of my mission parish's 20 year history. It's like when the elderly attendance dropped off in the pandemic years were replaced with younger families. Now, the majority of the parish is under ~50 years of age.

    This also goes into why God is referred to as He - a masculine pronoun, and why the Church is a She - the feminine. Feminine nature is to receive from the masculine, as a seed is planted into the fertile ground. But some ground can be rocky and unstable, so the teachings won't grow.
