It all depends on the culture. I think in America drinking anything is seen as a bad thing no matter what. Personally I don't drink because as a Christian I don't want to give the wrong impression. But there's nothing wrong with drinking a little bit. But getting drunk is horrid.

I haven't seen the Costner version but I loved this new version. I watched the Directors/Uncut version. I was extremely surprised to find that there was no swearing or nudity in it. I love it all the more for that. Great story and characters, believable romance. Very awesome

I agree that it is a bit offensive. It's using the Lord's Prayer for something secular. It's mocking the prayer. It's taking "joking" too far. Have you guys ever seen Christians mock secular stuff in the same way? I don't think so.
