If we are all sinners (and we are), how can we get into Heaven where there is "no impure thing"?

In Revelation it says that no impure thing will enter Heaven.

Well, all humans are impure. So virtually all humans are headed for Hell.

In a sense, every single human who ever lived or ever will live is on his/her way to Hell, pretty much from birth (or age 7...). Yet some people stop that head-long process toward eternal doom.

The thing is, how does one do that?

You have the world, the flesh and the devil fighting against you every step of the way.

The last one listed is the worst. That so and so has been around "forever" and knows all the tricks in the book. And bad news: he is more intelligent than any human who ever lived, save Jesus (who is God).

Abandon all hope.. (is what things look like) :(

Yet some say all we have to do is accept Jesus... whatever that may mean (entirely). Um... no, that is not what the Word says. Jesus said that Few find the narrow way to Heaven. Mt 7:21... Lk 13:24 (etc) and that not all who say Lord, Lord will enter

Isn't it interesting that the people in the "Lord, Lord" category give Jesus a list of their accomplishments, in light of their salvation?

Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name? ' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!

Is it wise to exchange the perfect work of Jesus for our salvation with our self perceived works of self righteousness?

well, my guess is you are Protestant?

many of them focus only on God's grace and not on their own sinfulness, which usually means they are not going to work on their sinfulness, maybe they won't even allow themselves to see it(?) and so, it remains... their sinfulness remains in them... This is called NOT letting Jesus have your sins..

so i just dont see how that works. Even after giving Jesus your sins, you are still sinful and will likely fall into the sin again if you are not careful

That is why we read in Philippians 2:12

Work out your salvation with fear and trembling

I primarily reject the title protestant. I believe in the validity of the mother church. I am "small c" catholic.

I thought the Promised Holy Spirit worked on us like clay, per scripture? Do you know what the actual word Devil translates to?

What does 1 John 1:8 have to say on this topic?

Notice it says (Your), not (Other peoples).... is it possible that God through Paul knew what He was doing when that was written?

Some may say a person has to accept Jesus, but that is a man invented statement.

People (children of God) should use God's terminology and not come up with their own terminology.

God's terminology is, if a person wants God's free gift of Eternal Life they must believe in Jesus (not accept Jesus whatever that means).

Believing that Jesus is who He says He is. The resurrection and the life, The promised Messiah/Son of God. If a person believes this about Jesus. they become a permanent born again child of God and cross over from death to life at the very moment of belief in Jesus.

Accept Jesus (Romans 8:9) (John 14:23) (1 John 2:27) (Ephesians 1:13)

Where do you see the word "accept Jesus" in these verses

But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.

Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.

But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.

In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,

What or more specifically Who, seals a believer unto salvation?

The disciples asked Jesus that - "how then can we be saved"!?

"You can't" Jesus told them...... (there's nothing to do they could do to be able ever to enter heaven)...

They were astongished to the point of great dismay and unrest !

........ to be continued....

The last verse states believed (in whom also, having believed ) and The Gospel of John states believe again, again and again. So why use different wording, what purpose does this serve.

It actually, i believe, could add confusion to a persons understanding of what a person needs to do to receive God's free gift of Eternal Life. Which is believe in Jesus.

But if you think accept is the way to go, that will be between you and God.

A lot of people might "accept" that the navy has good benefits and pay,
and go to a ship and get on and try to receive /"accept" the benefits and pay,
but it sure will not be what they expect !!!

I have no formula. Jesus saves. That’s a fact. I was just expressing why folks say that.

All Love in Jesus to you!

But my point was and this was not directed at you. Why do people not simply use the language of the Bible, this puzzles me.

You could direct it at him or anyone.

Most people do not understand the Bible.

Sometimes it’s false teachings. Sometimes they are speaking about teaching of the Holy Spirit of Christ.

1 John 2:27 is the best way to discern.
