If I died you might put flowers on my coffin. I would rather have love me now though. It makes more sense. Right?I'm not.

Did Paul point out sins to non-believers or was sin mentioned to Christians? As far as I know, we were told to preach the gospel of Jesus, not sins to nonbelievers. And while many believers like to point out other's sins,
I'm aware of my sin. I try to point out other people's sin like politics because strife and division can't help us. Isaiah 58 promised healing if we put away contention, hate and greedI'm not 100% sure what you mean. Both Jesus and Paul spoke about sin, of course. And while many believers like to point out other's sins, many other believers don't seem to possess such self-righteousness-and are aware of their own sinfulness-and their struggle against it.
That wasn't the subject of the discussion.I thought maybe you wanted to talk about Corrie Tan Boon and what she suffered and endured but I guess you don't.
How did Jesus approach sin? Both Jesus and Paul spoke about sin, of course.
Who says I don't?If I died you might put flowers on my coffin. I would rather have love me now though. It makes more sense. Right?
Right, yet Christians today like pointing out non-believer's sins look at the battle between us and them. Why would that be any of his business? It is up to the Holy Spirit to convict people of their sin.
I never said otherwise. We have to be happy with who we are. WE can not ever get away from ourselves.
Those without sin throw the first stone. Jesus didn't throw stones like we do today. He made them aware of it, but forgave and didn't condemn them for it.
You belittled my suffering. It's ok though. I'm not criticizing exactly. You probably mean well. That's edifying.Who says I don't?
In another of your threads I said that God loves you big time, that you are his child and that nothing can separate you from his love. Why would I have written that - or even replied to your thread in the first place - if I didn't care and wasn't concerned about your statement that you hate yourself? When you replied, "pray for me", I did.
Yet I write a post saying that we, here on these forums, are not persecuted like the early church were, and I get told that I don't care about your suffering. And someone else has a go at me for persecuting you.
Next time, I don't think I'll bother.
Myself is very ugly. I just want to escape into truth forever redeemedWe have to be happy with who we are. WE can not ever get away from ourselves.
I'm sorry if it came across that way - that wasn't my intention. You belittled my suffering. It's ok though. I'm not criticizing exactly. You probably mean well. That's edifying.
Thank you. Paul suffered everything. Even rejection.I'm sorry if it came across that way - that wasn't my intention.
I was talking about the persecution that the early church suffered and said that, as far as I know, none of us are persecuted in that way.
That doesn't mean I don't care that people were making your life difficult. They should not have been, and I'm sorry you went through that.
No, He did not throw stones. Stone-throwing is a common human pastime, whether by believers or atheists. It's a mark of our fallen natures and something that should be resisted and overcome in us. And, as far as Paul's preaching goes, one important reason that people turn to Jesus is because of His forgiveness. We must be made aware of sin in order to acknowledge our need for forgiveness. I find it difficult to believe that sin could be separated from the content of the message, the Good News regarding the God who is love. Those without sin throw the first stone. Jesus didn't throw stones like we do today.
