Please note gentlemen, the distinction that Paul makes between reconciliation and salvation.
"For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life."
The reconciled shall be saved by His Life. So that limits His death for only the saved.

I said nothing about repentance. Im saying the ones Jesus died for are reconciled to God by His death even while being enemies, unbelievers. Nothing to do with repentance
And I'm showing you why you get Romans 5:10 wrong. Reconcilation happens through repentance, through the death of Christ. If you don't look at the whole teaching of salvation, you can not understand Romans 5:10. Sorry, but you read it in isolation.

It appears to me you get Rom 5:10 wrong. Reconciliation is by the Death of Christ, clearly according to Rom 5:10

Yes, reconcilation is by the death of Christ through repentance. You think a person has been reconciled still living in sin, that's where I see the problem. Romans chapter 5 does not say that.

False statement, denying Rom 5:10

I disagree, enemies and unbelievers are the same.

Not according to the Scriptures. Lord Jesus came to save sinners, and his death on the cross was payment for our sins, so that those who believe may be cleansed of their sins and so be reconciled to God.

I know what context Col 1:21 is found in, doesnt change anything, enemies in our minds by wicked works is unbelief.

Believers do sin, and all sin is wickedness. Christ died for our sins, so that those believing in him are cleansed from all sin, and so, believers are now reconciled to God because of Christ's death for our sins.

We [believers] were enemies of God, being dead in sin, but when we “sinners” believed, we [the believing sinners] were then reconciled to God by the death of His Son.

John 5:24 (WEB) 24 “Most certainly I tell you, he who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life, and doesn’t come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

I cant prove nothing to you, but Im convinced of it. Proving spiritual matters to you is above my pay grade
I think we are done then.

At least I got a chance to prove you wrong by philosophy and Scripture. You don't believe the evidence, but that is another matter.

Christ love! ✝️

P.s. How did you get so convinced?

How they discount the reconciling death of Christ !

Mans religion discounts what Christs death did for all whom He died, it reconciled them to God, it doesn't say it reconciled God to them. Now read it carefully Rom 5:10

10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Now it states as clear as day, that when we[believers] were [past tense] [enemies] present tense, we were [past tense] reconciled to God, and then he writes how, How does it happen according to the sacred writer ?

If you said it was by the death of Christ you are correct. This is an actual and factual reconciliation, both parties are reconciled to one another lest we deem Christs death insufficient to have accomplished just that.

Mans religion insists that Rom 5:10 doesn't speak of men being reconciled to God, but that God is reconciled to men, and now its up to man to reconcile himself to God, stealing the Glory from what Christs death did and attributing it to sinful man ! They say Christs death is merely a insufficient partial reconciliation ! 24

God came to save sinners who will believe on him. Lord Jesus did not come to save unbelievers.

John 3:16 (WEB) 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life

The Gospel, which is repeated all through the NT, and is testified onto by all the prophets, is that we are justified by God from all sins through faith. We have peace (reconciliation) with God by faith because God, in His mercy, provided for us by the sacrificial death of His Son.

Acts 10:43 (WEB) All the prophets testify about him, that through his name everyone who believes in him will [future tense] receive remission of sins.

John 8:24 (WEB) I said therefore to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am he, you will die in your sins.

Romans 5:1-2 (WEB) Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace [reconciliation] with God through our Lord Jesus Christ; 2 through whom we also have our access by faith into this grace in which we stand. We rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

The promise of God comes by faith, that is the good pleasure of God to mankind:

Romans 4:16 (ENIV) 16 …the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring.

1 Corinthians 1:21 (WEB) For seeing that in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom didn’t know God, it was God’s good pleasure through the foolishness of the preaching to save those who believe.

What condition were the believers in when they were reconciled to God by the death of His Son according to Romans 5:10

Justification comes before reconciliation, and justification is by faith.

Romans 5:1-2 (WEB) Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace [reconciliation] with God through our Lord Jesus Christ; 2 through whom we also have our access by faith into this grace in which we stand. We rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

"We," the believers put our faith in Lord Jesus while we [believers] were still dead in sin [enemies of God by sin]. However, at the moment when we first believed [past tense], we [the believing sinners] were [past tense] justified and reconciled [past tense] to God by the Death of His Son.

Romans 5:10 For if, when we [believers] were enemies [separated from God by sin], we [believers] were reconciled [past tense] to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we [believers] shall be [future] saved by his life.

We [believers] were [past tense] dead in sin but were [past tense] made spiritually alive at the moment we believed - not so we can believe.

John 5:24 (WEB) 24 “Most certainly I tell you, he who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life, and doesn’t come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

The dead in sin receive LIFE in the Son by Faith - not so they can believe.

John 20:31 (WEB) But these are written, that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have {{{life}}} in his name

The believing sinners are granted eternal life at the moment they believed because of the sacrificial death of God's Son.

John 3:16 (WEB) 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life

The Power of the Gospel unto Justification, Salvation, and Reconciliation all happens when the dead in sin person puts his faith in Lord Jesus. At the moment we believed [past tense], we were [past tense] justified, reconciled, and saved by the blood of Christ.

Romans 1:16
(WEB) 16 For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, because it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first, and also for the Greek.

Yes, I agree.
Brightfame thinks we are justified without faith, which has no ground in Scripture.

For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law.

Justified and reconciled to God without faith and while being enemies.

Thanks for explaining your position. And your position is the opposite of what Scripture plainly states:

Romans 5:1-2 (WEB) Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace [reconciliation] with God through our Lord Jesus Christ; 2 through whom we also have our access by faith into this grace in which we stand. We rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Romans 3:28 (WEB) 28 We maintain therefore that a man is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.

Galatians 2:16 (WEB) 16 yet knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ

What condition were the believers in when they were reconciled to God by the death of His Son according to Romans 5:10

Answer: The condition the believers were in is "ungodly sinners" when they believed, but these ungodly believers were, at that moment of faith, reconciled to God by his Son's death, being justified by faith.

Romans 4:3-5 (WEB) 3 For what does the Scripture say?
“Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” [Genesis 15:6] 4 Now to him who works, the reward is not counted as grace, but as something owed. 5 But to him who doesn’t work, but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness.

Notice, in "Romans 4:3-5" just quoted, that God is the one who justifies the ungodly by faith in him. What that means is, the condition we believers are in when he believe is "ungodly." But when the ungodly do believe, they are declared righteous.

Galatians 3:24 (WEB) So that the law has become our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
