What you seem to be ignoring is people born to Christian families (like myself) who grow up to be atheists. The correlation between Western nations and atheism is due to access to information and education; these being less available is non-Western nations.

You ignore the punishment ‘war’ for also exercising free will in a different way. You’re in the wrong here.

If we live by God's will (not our own free will) there will be no wars etc (including the ones mandated by God). One assumes that God would only mandate his people to war against people who live by their own free will (not God's). So the consequence of free will is God mandated war.

By highlighting the logical consequence of suggesting that living according to God's will would mean that there would be no war.
