  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Is Hell Annihilationism or Eternal Torment

What's not true? That they don't have bodies? So much so that human men wanted to have their way with them? That they can't eat? We know they can. And we can eat their food as well. All of this is true. I didn't state they had flesh and blood but that they had bodies and those bodies can eat...

Is Hell Annihilationism or Eternal Torment

The Greek word is ἐντολή entole -injunction- i.e. an authoritative prescription -commandment, precept. I'm using the KJV. And the link you posted has commandments in it as well. But you have but a few verses that you believe supports you. Are you supposed to thrown out the rest of the Bible...

Is Hell Annihilationism or Eternal Torment

We are still talking in the future tense here. We have to remember this revelation is being revealed to us. Judgement Day has not arrived and the new heaven and earth are not in place as of yet. So he is just reiterating these two facts. And we see what happens to the former at Judgement Day...

Is Hell Annihilationism or Eternal Torment

We are talking about God's consuming fire that can destroy both body and soul. And I choose to believe Christ's words in that we are to fear the one that can destroy (fully in the Greek) both body and soul. That's why Christ calls it the "second" death. Afterwards he claims to make "all things"...

Is Hell Annihilationism or Eternal Torment

It would seem like you still need to educate yourself some more. Oh that's right, you have teachers for whom you look to for that. But angels do have bodies. So much so that they are often called men in the bible. They can wash, eat and so on. We can even be sustained by their food. So the...

Hell doesn't exist and there is no eternal suffering, instead bad peolle just cease to exist

Ok, do you really want to stay this ignorant of God's word? These are letters to Timothy, written by Paul. Timothy was in Esphesus at the time and these letters are doctrinal letters to him about the churches that were being set up. Also, note this verse- I Timothy 2:6 "Who gave Himself a...

Hell doesn't exist and there is no eternal suffering, instead bad peolle just cease to exist

Are you really that spiritually blind? RamiC just posted the verses. I Timothy 2:3 "For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior;" I Timothy 2:4 "Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. This word "will" in the Greek is thelo means to...

Hell doesn't exist and there is no eternal suffering, instead bad peolle just cease to exist

Asking your beliefs about certain biblical verses is most definitely a biblical question.

Hell doesn't exist and there is no eternal suffering, instead bad peolle just cease to exist

So once again, you fail to answer biblical questions about certain scriptures. Wow, some teachers you have. They have not even prepared you to answer the simplest of questions regarding certain verses and your beliefs on them. And you've failed to show how we are taking them out of context and...

Hell doesn't exist and there is no eternal suffering, instead bad peolle just cease to exist

I asked for your beliefs about the scriptures I posted. Do you understand that question? I then asked how are we taking things out of context in those same verses? If you can't answer those than I would start to question your teachers. It was a simple question about scriptures. You claim to...

Hell doesn't exist and there is no eternal suffering, instead bad peolle just cease to exist

I believe so. I go back to this- I Corinthians 15:51 "Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed," But I still believe as you stated, they won't have achieved eternal life until after the end if they make it. That's why everyone is blessed to have taken...

Hell doesn't exist and there is no eternal suffering, instead bad peolle just cease to exist

It really is. I admit this is one subject that I find myself still wanting to further study and pray about. But I think that those who believe and continue to abide in Christ until the end will take part in that first resurrection. That's kind of where I'm at as well.

Hell doesn't exist and there is no eternal suffering, instead bad peolle just cease to exist

Well, this would certainly explain why you can't answer simple questions about your beliefs on certain verses and how ours are taken out of context. Someone that has the truth as you claim would have easily been able to do so. But you can't. Are you joking? We have posted scripture over and...

    Church is boring

I think it's because with most churches we are receiving men's word over God's word. I just don't see the point in personal sermons written by men. I want my church to strictly stick to teaching God's Word. Fellowship is fine with like minded believers but I guess it depends on the reason you...
